4 more days and I'm on a 7 day, 3,000 mile trip to see the MotoGP at Laguna Seca!!!!!!

Woot!!!!

See if you can spot me in the sold-out-crowd of over 100K people. I'll be the one waving to the camera.

Along with the other 100,000 euphorically happy people that rode to Laguna Seca... me thinks it'll be a little hard to pick you out.

I'll be sure to tune in for it like i do with every other MotoGP race.
Enjoy yourself.

Just don't forget that we get Philip Island, and thats all of a 3 hour ride to get to.

Hey tim see if you can bring home a different winner over there for a change - we all love rossi but jeez it gets a bit repetitive - i'm calling in nicky hayden for his first gp win, colin edwards 2nd, and jonny hopkins for his first podium!!!

I'm pulling for Edwards myself.

That 3,000 miles is round trip, sorry to be misleading. Funny though... if I google the distance from my door to the track it is 998 miles. The route that we have planed out is 1,300 miles down and 1,500 miles back. At least 200 more miles while we are there.

Going to be a Cracking Good Time!!!!

As a killer bonus, I get to meet up with about 30+ other EXUPBrotherhood.com members and maybe a FZR250.com member.

Sounds like it is going to be a fantastic trip too - very jealous!

Enjoy the racing (and I too would like to see Edwards step up!).

Are there any other races on that weekend, or just eh GP round? Are the 250's or 125's running?

I am hoping that we (people in Aus) get to watch some of the AMA races though - haven't had an opportunity to watch them yet! On television I only get to see World Superbikes, Aus. Superbikes, or motoGp (and dirt or supermotard races). Be interesting to watch another group race.

Tell you the truth.... any racing at Laguna is waaaayyy cool. Some of you already know from racing video games. Very Classic US Track.

In my opinion, ranks up there with Daytona and Indiannapolis

Ye Liamo went to Skerries and stayed the night in the village.
Great days racing and great to see Martin Finnegan ( Dublin rider ) winning the Grand Final.
They reckon about 30'000 turned up, bikes eveywhere.
It was the 60th year of the races.

darn, well pissed that i missed it, great to see a dublin rider win it.
i believe that there is road racing on in kells in a few weeks, il do my best to get down to it, should defo have my fzr back by then.
we'll have to meet up for a spin when i get the bike back, im dyin to put a few miles on it as i only had it 4 weeks (and i was away for a week of that) when i had to send it in. your profile says your livin southside so you could show me a few decent spins out that way as im not too well up on the roads out there

Angela, my wife, would really like to go back and visit Phillip Island during the races. Unfortunately we have more wants than vacation time.

I am heading out to Laguna today. I am already over stimulated.

I hope to! However I also have a 2 month trip planned to Canada shortly after that so it all depends on time...

There is always next year! But enjoy laguna - I will enjoy it from my sofa... :-(

As for all of us in Aust and unable to make it to laguna, the television schedule is:

Monday, July 11
6:30 am - Fox Sports 2
7:00 am - Ten
9:30 pm (re-run) - Fox Sports 1

I always say see-kah. But I don't know if I'm correct.

I'd say it doesn't really matter... Kinda like the difference between "fish and chips" and "fush and chups"
