Ok I have a set on vj22 front forks for the old 1kt, but they are 60mm shorter than the originals.

    Has anyone already done this?

If so how did you get around the difference in length

As you can see some one has managed to do it, I just can not find any info

The stock position for the 1kt clip-ons are above the top triple clamp.
Lots of people, including myself, run the clip-ons below the top triple clamp for a more aggressive seating position.
That leaves quite a bit that sticks out over the top triple clamp if you run the clip-ons below.
The stock rgv250 clip-on position is below the top triple.

You would need to measure the length of the forks minus the height of the clip-ons (where they attach to the fork) to get the measurement you're looking for.

Here's a picture of Oliver's bike so you can see what I mean

    Hope this helps.

Forgot, there's also a spacer that sits under the clip-on as well. You'll have to account for that as well.

Funnily enough last night I was trolling fleabay and came across a set of riser clip ons and realized they were the answer to my problem.
Geez how far through the yolk are Oliver's forks?
Also thank you for your help

It's very deceiving visually... the forks might be pushed through a bit more as Oliver's bike is a track bike, but with the standard clip-ons below the top triple clamp it does look like quite a lot.

Didn't realize that you wanted to keep the standard 1kt handle bar position. Then yes, if you use the rgv set up, you'll need either helibars or add clamps to the top triple for riser bars.
