Congrats Casso!
No need to go buy a new bike immediately, but definitely go test riding.

Good work champ. I thought you would have been off your restrictions a while ago for some reason... Only 37 more days till I can get rid of the p plate.

Now this is one of the reasons i like this forum so much! The majority of the long term members have long since upgraded and moved on, but we still have a soft spot for our FZR250's and therefore keep hanging around and helping out on this site.

Thats great Casso. I just just finished my 12 month period as well, although I had the engine size restriction removed in january. But I unceremoniously dumped the bike at easter and it has taken me until now to get it ready for sale. It is currently listed in the Tassie Trading Post. My only restriction was that I could not take a pillion passenger.

SO you will be looking for a bigger bike next???

yeah, not sure what my sites are set on... After my last off I kinda made a promise to the gf that once the bike was fixed I'd sell it and buy a cage for commuting...
Looking at some combination of ute, dirt bike, and track bike, but $$$ are always an issue. Might consider supermoto even, who knows

That's good news there Casso
On a side note I'm off my restrictions tomorrow!!
And I thought I still had a month to go

I was thinking about turning my fizzer into a track/race bike and getting into racing. At first I wanted to start on 400's but since my bike hasn't been registered for a while (lack of money + debt ) and my step bro got caught riding it last night, so big fines for him! OUCH!
Speaking of which I still need to go pick it up.
so yeah I thought that may be an option because it really needs new tires anyway, and plus I'm comfortable with it already why learn another bike when I wanna concentrate on my technique?

And since I'm gonna be off my restriction it's time to become a test pilot! ... I have had thought of becoming one, now's my chance

oh yeah :p like Koma suggested, definitely going to get out there and kick some tyres... heh

Don't know if I'd use the FZR as a dedicated track bike tho. They just strike me as requiring too much work to maintain when given such abuse. I was thinking about it myself, at one stage, but I'd rather sell it and buy a newer 600 for the same price (got to love the re-sale on learner bikes :p ).

Truth is if I was going to get a track bike, I'd want something with fuel injection (so i don't have to fck around with carbs any more) and at least semi-adjustable suspension, and it'd probably be a 600 jap bike, because spare parts are so easy to come by (which is a must for a track bike IMO).
