OH on a similar note does anyone have a spare or just want to sell me please a functional ZXR 250 wiring loom? I wont need it very long cause as i mentioned before I am going to make a new one but I need to get this bike down to Helensville to have her finished. Last since we are playing name that wire, can we also play "where does that part" Does anyone one know where the thermistate is located on the engine cause I think mine might be missing cause I seem to have a slow coolant leak coming from the middle back of the engine just forward of the crankcase where the first hose enters the engine I think if the thermostate is gone so is the seal cause I have the bolts tight and still the leak?

Well guys I am now %100 committed I will drop off an unuseable wiring loom to my Auto Electrician mate in Springwood and he is going to order me or get me an estimate first of the cost of all the wire required to completely fabricate a brand new loon plus the little clear flag covers for the coil wires and I will see if I can order the covers for the solenoid he told me yesterday that each 30 m spool of wire is about 13 to 15 bucks each? I have more then enough connectors and terminals plus the right set of proper crimpers and wire strippers and one full stripped loom stapled to a couple of wood boards each branch and system pulled of to one side. I need 2 for myself one exact copy and another custom for the new digital cluster, gear indicator and USB charger. Can and tell me or figure how many more looms I can make after the first two and I feel confident in this endeavor! (famous last words) Any guesses? That way I might be able to sell a any extra to help cover cost and they will be heat shrinked and all the inside connections like the 3 ground wires converging into one will not be stripped and wrapped together with a little tape over it they will be soldered and a heat shrink butt connection over that and heat shrink over that to ensure a tough connection. ( I am so screwed!!!!) LOL

    Wiring Loom UPDATE

30 colour wires including trace wires in 3mm and 4 mm single core auto cable. When that idiot at Sumner Park ( who I would not trust to work on a Hot Wheel Motorbike ) worked on my bike with only the intention of ripping me off for most unnecessary parts installed, he put in a non standard loom which is the one I am copying. Thinking one of the other looms was the same or wire lengths where the same I started taking out one strand or circuit at a time and measured it and copied it, wrong!!! This loom and the others are different the lengths and number of grounds vary and also so does the amount of wires. The Junction box\fuse box is different. In light of that fact I took a different approach and realized that first stripping all the old gooey tape off first cleaning off (Caution be sure you're only ever going to use this stripped harness\loom for reference only once cleaned the wires will probably become oxidized and therefore rendered inoperative ) and using cable ties to keep each branch intact and more ties on the center to again keep intact. Next washed in hot water and G101 non- caustic degreaser, this was to remove all the road tar, adhesives and other dirt and grime that had built up over 25 years. I dried with microfiber cloths and it looked and felt new I could see and distinguished all the colours clearly and was no longer sticky to the touch. Next I found the front or top and laid it out on a table and ran all the branch out in a way that I could see what they were and where they were. Once I was happy with the orientation, took my air stapler and a roll of velcro tape and cut small lengths enough to wrap around the loom and placed them from top to bottom and stapled them to my table. This was so the loom would not move and so I could then proceed to put a frame work of bullet head nails around the whole loom including all the individual branch lines. The next part is I feel very important I used mashing tape and a sharpie to label every branch and made 2 labels one on the table surface the other on the branch line, this way you know what is what because wiring diagrams may not always match the loom/harness that came with your GREY IMPORT!
I will upload some pictures that might help explain my process. NOW PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT AN NOT AUTO ELECTRICIAN NOR AM I A MOTORCYCLE MECHANIC I AM JUST AVERAGE JOE WHO GOT SICK OF PRIDELESS HALF ASSED WORK BY TRADESMEN WHO DO NOT GIVE A DAM ABOUT THEIR WORK AND ONLY WANT MONEY FOR LESS THEN ACCEPTABLE WORK. I GOT SICK OF PAYING FOR NOTHING BUT MORE WORK AND FOUND RESEARCH, YOUTUBE (CAREFULL YOUTUBE NOT ALWAYS TRUSTWORTHY) AND ASKING PEOPLE ON THIS SITE AND KIFFSTA ADMIN FOR THIS SITE AND JUST DOING THE WORK MYSELF. IF ONE WAY DOES NOT WORK KEEP TRYING TILL YOU GET IT RIGHT PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF, i BLEED THE BRAKES ALMOST 20 TIMES BEFORE i BOUGHT A PRO MOTION ONE WAY VALVE BRAKE BLEEDER PLUS TOTALLY REBUILT THE BRAKES 4 TIMES (I DID NOT BUY NEW PARTS EVERY TIME JUST REASSEMBLED ON A DIFFERENT CALIPER) NOW I HAVE A SOLID BRAKE LEVER. SO I AM ONLY SHOWING MEMBERS WHAT I DID AND HOW I DID IT. THERE MAY BE BETTER EASIER WAYS OR I COULD BE WRONG SO TAKE NOTHING OF WHAT I SAY OR DO AS FACT OR THE CORRECT WAY BECAUSE AGAIN COULD BE WRONG OK.

Hello Guys My loom is almost finished and I do not think I have screwed it up that bad just yet? I am testing ( got the horn to sort of work. LOL) I was wondering if I could ask anyone who has a ZXR250C if they could a few pictures for me? I need close ups of all the plugs on the loom side of the wiring harness in my haste to get this loom done I forgot to make diagrams of each of the plugs. I think it reason mine is not 100% working is because I may not have the wires in the plugs in right or in some cases in the right way around?

Oh on another note I have some translation software that I am going to use once I get the Japanese manuals scanned at a scanning shop (if I did it at home it would be scanning till the sky fell) I am hoping they will be able to scan both manuals into .PDF form and then I can translate them with this scan, picture translation software then I can resave then in English and first upload them and second take to a print shop and have laser printed and rebound. No promises but if it works I am happy to mail out copies for the cost of printing (per copy) and shipping (not looking to make a profit just show kawasaki and Webike it can be done!!!). I will post results as soon as I get them. Thanks guys for your support and once this loom is done next one will be straight factory OEM copy! If I have the material left over I will make as many as I can and offer them at cost to you guys first.

I really need those loom plug pictures as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated.
