I know its not for everyone, but i find listening to music whilst riding makes me concentrate on the road more. Which brings me to wondering what other people listen to when riding (if anything).

I find classic rock ie. Zepplin, CCR, the Who and the greatest band of all time Pink Floyd. I also have alot of aussie Hip Hop aswell.

So what does everyone else listen too.

(Playlist is a bit heavier when riding dirtbikes)

I haven't tyred listening to my mp3 while riding yet but in the car  I often have it on instead of the radio.

There is everything from country to hard rock but no hip hop and not a lot of recent artists because there are too many that need the tone machine to make them sound 1/2 decent. They are only selling stuff on the way they look.

This topic is definately like opening  a can of worms, a number of riders I know think that listeneing to music while riding is wrong and takes your concentration away from whats going on. I personally havnt listed to music while riding as my exhaust was that bloody loud I wouldnt have heard it anyway :)

As a driver or at home, I like to crank up the tunes, everthing from ACDC, Metallica, Chisel, Nivana, Creedence, The Offspring to Pete Murray and everything in between.  I find if Im listening to something with a thumping beat, I tend to drive that bit faster

I used to listen to tunes whilst doing the 30km round trip commute on my bicycle but found that I couldn't hear the traffic or the dangerous few who seem to consider swerving at or abusing cyclists (legally riding in the cycle lane/road shoulder) as a national sport .  Anyway someone told me they thought it might be illegal to use your tunes player whilst operating a motor vehicle/motor bike?  However haven't bothered to follow up as yet. Would be interesting to see the law enforcers opinion about that.

My playlist includes everything from The Beatles through to The Mars Volta and everything in between (except country) :icon_rr:

I don't listen to music while riding simply because I find it annoying, half the time you can't hear it especially like Pink Floyd and yes i agree with slender, they are the best band of all time. I have all 16 studio albums on my iphone, I bought the box set a couple of year ago.

Here is a song I found on youtube just recently, Dear Mr Fantasy, a Traffic song done by Crosby Stils & Nash, it is a ultra cool version. Of course it is 60's era

Since I ride with ear plugs I decided to go to Sony ear phones and listen to music. So I listen to various music depending on the the riding conditions. For fast pace then Rock and Dance. For slow easy and calmer rides I listen to Country.
