Can anyone let me know what the red light is for on the tacho of a FZR 250 2KR.It comes on when you are doing 80kms an hr and doesnt go off.Its a bit annoying. Is it a speed alert or something like that and can I reset it?Any help.Thanks.
The jap speed limit is 80km/h so when you go past that it turns on its on the old cbr's as well. if ya could get to the back of it just disconnect the wires..
Thanks for the info! Thanks for the info, muchly helpful. Now I know what the damn light is for, cheers.
haha On my bike Red means OIL haha so if mine came on that means no oil pressure. O well diffrent models eh.
The light they were talking about is actually located on the speedometer (I have one on mine). There is also another light for oil in addition to this (in the cluster wtih high beam, turn signal, and neutral).
Light Oh my bad, sorry about that guys. Im thinking the 3LN has a diffrent speedo cluster than the 2KR. If you didnt want the light to work you could simply cut the cable and tape over the end to stop any arcing. Or if you didnt want to go that far just remove the bulb. Jarmizz

I have been toying with the idea of connecting it to the thermo switch so you can tell when the termo comes on.. or does anyone have a better idea for it <!-- s:sniper: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_snipersmilie.gif" alt=":sniper:" title="Sniper" /><!-- s:sniper: -->
