WOW, just found these guys on the net, they build a Café Racer Kit for a GPX250 http://bluecollarbobbers.com/kawasaki-ninja-250-cafe-racer-aka-gpx-250r
Hmmm, my girlfriend would love it if I converted Nix with one of these kits. Might have to look into that...
Pretty sure the engines are the same but the frames are completely different. Same with tank and fairings
I know the fairings are different. Wasn't sure about the frame and tank though. Will have to do more research before I seriously consider it. I could always look for a cheap GPX for another project once I get my shed.
It may still work. The GPX uses a steel frame frame with a single backbone and the tank mounts over it. The ZZR uses a twin spar*(correct term?) frame and the tank sits on top. I only know as I have one of each here
Research tells me that the GPX250 and ZZ-R250 were both EX250 variants but there were a couple of different frames and fairings. This one matches mine pretty well other than a few colour differences: http://www.cmsnl.com/kawasaki-1996-h7-ex250_model12255/partslist/
