So my Ls expire early October and I went to book the stupid cone twirling MOST test

    All booked out .....

did I leave it to late ? ... probably ......but how could there be that many people wanting a licence? ...must be like 4 in a group.

The alternative is to go to Armidale ..... 1 Saturday available ..... yes u guessed it .... the VJMC ride day

    so **** that

And WHY the **** u cant just renew/extend your Ls is a joke

looks like another 6 months of riding around with L for lesbian flapping in the breeze at the rear.

And don't get me started on how u prove u can ride a bike by riding around cones and painted lines in a car park. ....
something u actually cant do on an FZR

    bunch of twats

    end of rant

You can just let your L's expire and ride your bike to the L's test again "illegally" - About half the people doing the test in Botany did it...

as a younger man I rode around on my L's for 4 to 5 years because the written test was easy and only $9 - plus I was riding bikes with 2 - 3 times the allowed engine capacity OOPS

    I understand your frustration though

After getting the insurance payout on my ST1100 that burnt, I went to cancel the registration for the remaining 5 months. I didn't think I would get much back and I was right. They gave me $27.00, then asked for $28.00 for the cancellation fee!!!! When asked for the plate I produced a melted lump of alloy, they said I could keep that and not to worry about the dollar owing. SO generous!
After I got home I thought "what a dickhead", I should have kept the rego and just put onto one of the other bikes until it ran out.
At least I got $67.00 back for the CTP green slip from Shannon's.

Anything that involves automotive issues, all take and no give. Governments love to take your hard gained cash but when it comes to a refund, it's a one way avenue???? Strange world in which we live.
