Im looking to get a windscreen for my 1989 FZR 250. Right now it is just a black one but if possible I would like to get something either clear or smoked. does anybody have one or know where I could get it?

If you do a bit of googling around for aftermarket parts suppliers in your neck of the woods (Canada & USA) then i'm positive you'll find something. Most of the aftermarket screen makers have moulds for pretty much everything.

FYI the going rate for a tinted screen over here is about ~$80-110AU.

AJ Plastics in Brisbane does them.

    http://www.ajplastics.com.au/ajplasticsFrameset.htm

When I got my screen for a 3LN-1, it cost me $80 for a light tinted one. I also know for a fact that they also do 2KR screens as well because they stuffed my order the first time and made me one. Great quality, and I think it took only a day for them to make it. Highly recommended.

Also, look up Slip Screens in Sydney too. They made my 3LN-3 screen, but I believe that was $100 for that one in dark tint.

    Good Luck,
    Chris.

Thanks for the quick reply mate!

My bike happens to be a 3LN-3 model and I'm located in Sydney, do those Slip Screens guys have a website, I tried Googling it with no luck.

I've also sent of an e-mail to AJ Plastics regarding the 3LN-3 screen.

Ok, Slip Screens is affiliated with Hand Craft Fibreglass.

This is the mob I bought my Top fairing in fibreglass for my 3LN-3. Their web address is http://www.handcraftfibreglass.com/. They seem a little bit more expensive than AJs, but closer to you.

    Thanks,
    Chris.

Screens for Bikes in Melbourne make pretty much everything.
Bruce @ Yamwreck will be able to get pretty much anything Yamaha related.
Eagle Screens can do them aswell.

There's a pretty big list... but i got the one for my 3LN3 through Bruce @ Yamwreck. Shouldn't set you back more than ~$90-110

My local Yamaha repair center agreed to get me one for $100 in dark black tint.

Yeah, theres always your Yammy parts department. I generally forget about them as a place to get things like windscreens though and just get things like specific bolts or gaskets.

I'm in canberra. Mustang jon got in first, so I'll give him first dibs - but he's in canada, so I'm not sure really how much he'll save.

It's in good condition though (as new), with no scratches.
