G'day everyone, great forum you have here, lots of info. My first post and its in the wanted section!

My FZR has been in my shed for the last 5 years or so after I ran into the back of a 4 wheel drive I lost interest and pretty much left it to collect dust. During this time I never even turned it over. Last week I pulled the carby off and cleaned it up and drained the stale fuel. Jump started with a car battery and it fired over first go and seems to be running better than it ever did before the accident. Anyway it seems that there isn't as much work involved in getting it back on the road as I initially thought so I've regained my interest in it. The bike is a 93 model single headlight, is this a 3ln-3?? I'm after the following parts for it:

    -Front Brake Lever
    -Screen
    -Front Fairing
    -Headlight
    -Air Filter
    -Oil Filter
    -Battery

Thats about it for the moment, I'm going to try and repair the left hand fairing but I don't think the front is repairable as its missing pieces. I may need another instrument cluster and speedo cable too.
    Cheers.

    P.S. I'm in Brisbane

    Welcome to the site BigMav.
That looks like quite a shopping list you've got there. Not sure how many of these parts we can help you with but i'll give you some places that will have them.

    - Front brake lever will be shared amongst quite a few small 250/400 Yamaha's aswell as other brands. Or you can order some bling ones from austreetfighters.
    - Screens are unfortunately a buy aftermarket option only really. ~$100 for a FZR250 3LN-3 screen as i found out. I got mine through Bruce at Yamwreck in Melbourne... but i'm pretty sure he'll post.
    - Front fairing - if at all salvagable i'd recommend just plastic welding it with replacement pieces of ABS plastic. New front fairings (fibreglass) are ~$200 unpainted.
    - Headlight - i'll sell you my headlight off the FZR1000 (same size & shape just single H4 not twin projector). I wanted to update to the twin projector. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
    - Air filter - was that just the panel or the entire plastic enclosure aswell? Might be time to get the aluminium sheeting out and go custom.
    - Oil filter ~$10 from Yamaha. Just ask for it by name for a '92 FZR250.
    - Battery - time to consult your friendly auto store and see if they can get the smaller capacity batteries. Failing that, wreckers usually have an abundance of reco'd batteries.

    Cheers for the reply koma.

I've sorted out the battery issue from the auto parts store. Looks like I've got a bit of ringing around to do for the other stuff. I was only after the air filter element so will try yamaha tomorrow although they aren't very helpful when it comes to the imported bikes. Maybe I should try Honda aswell because they share the oil filter and air filter type don't they? How much do you want for the headlight? I'm not too worried on getting a twin projector one just want to get it on the road as cheaply as possible. Can you post a pic? So you think I have a 3lN-3 from the info I have provided. Is there a way I can confirm this?
