Hey guys, I'm after a 3LN3 (Single headling model) windscreen, preferably in dark black tint. I bought one last week but had an accident on Sunday night so it's smashed again along with some other ****. I'm located in Sydney so someone in Australia would be good. I'm after a second hand one as long as it's in fair condition. Thanks.
You'll find screens arent really an item that come up second hand very often. Your best bet is to either hunt around on eBay or to give a few of the screen manufacturers a call. I seem to remember also someone got one for a decent price direct through their local Yamaha parts shop! Either way, the cheapest i've ever heard of them is around $75-80, and the going rate is around $100.
I think that was me that got it from my local Yamaha parts shop only last week! As for the accident, it didn't involve another car. I went around a corner at about 20km/h, 25 tops, was leaning into the left and began to straighten out. The bike just slipped from under me and just went nearly horizontal to the left, I remember thinking "***** then the actual fall is a blur. The next thing I remember is me and the bike sliding down the road, me holding onto the throttle bar and having that horrible sinking feeling (I just repaired all the fairings last week) at which point I said to myself I should let go of the throttle bar, so I did! It was at this point that I went from sliding on my side to going into a crouching position and smashing my knee into the ground followed by stopping on my back. I wore all my gear so I'm OK, however I did wear normal jeans instead of my riding ones and the second I hit the ground they were torn into completely. I got a nice infection on my knee now. Bike isn't too bad, smashed windscreen and smashed bits of plastic on the front cowl (Around the mirror area). Both mirrors were somehow bent to **** including the frame (Even though I landed on the left), left hand side fairings were somehow only badly scratched in the accident, thank god. Need a new windscreen and left hand foot peg now, got of lucky but still don't know what happened which has put me of a bit.
Thats a bit of bad luck. Have you been back and inspected the corner to try and figure out what happened? Gravel? Moss? Dirt?
I came back the same night and couldn't find anything, although it was at 11PM. My bike has been running like **** lately too, badly out of tune carbs so this will be an excuse (Now that she's in bits) to just get it all fixed.

if i ever see that bike arround im gonna keep well clear of that rider just incase he's been watching those stunt films.
