    Check what thread is used and you may be able to buy a suitable one at an auto shop (Repco, Bursons, Autobarn or Supercheap etc)

    Electrically it needs to switch on at 102 degC rising and off at 97 degC falling

    ah ok then. i take it the thermo switch is the same on cars? or do i have to get a motorcycle specific one? and how much for a new one roughly?

    You really just need one that fits. Most bikes would have one if you go to a bike wreckers. Not so common on cars.
