So from reading the workshop manual it appears that the c model had compression damper adjustment but the A does not . So the question is will c forks fit the a , has anyone tried it ?? Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
The compression damping adjustment is the small brass screw on top of the forks, for the C model The rebound adjuster should be on the left fork down by the speedo drive.
Thats kind of weird.. that you have individual compression adjustment but only rebound on one... I guess they are mechanically linked via the axle.. it would be interesting to find out why..
So the bottom adjuster is the compression.is there any benefit in using those forks because i have a set of A and C forks that need rebuild. Wondering which set is better
The calipers, discs, wheel and axle are different. They all have to be swapped over. Unsure on the triple clamps.
To go C model forks, you would need to change the wheel & rotors aswell, you can use a C model wheel but you would need the C model spacers & a bearing change possibly. The wheels have a slight offset thats why the rotors are different. The front calipers are the same they just sit slightly higher on the forks, hence the slightly larger diameter rotors on the A model.
