Sooooo does anyone know of any sure ways to see if your steering bearings are on the way out?

I was doing some slow speed/walking paced maneuvers the other day and when nearing full lock the front tyre feels like it bites into the turn, on both sides. Put simply, it just felt funny, and I haven't noticed it before this pronounced.

Tyres are 6 months old, plenty of tread, pressure was at 30 so I bumped it up to 35 to no avail.

Turns fine at moderate/higher speeds and doesn't give that odd feedback.

    Cheers in advance guys!

Could your brakes be sticking a little bit, is your bike easy to push?

Funny you should say that.. my brakes have been very squeaky under light braking, which goes away under harder braking. The bike does push around somewhat easily though.

I rebuilt my calipers with new seals + boots etc about 6 months ago.. Maybe I've got a sticking piston.. Dammit!

Will follow that up, sounds like an easier problem to deal with than steering bearings ha

    Cheers :)
