I'm interested to know what setups people have for this bike in terms of luggage. Currently the only company I have seen is Ventura whose most basic kit is $260AUD + shipping. While that's reasonable, I'm sure there are some of you out there that have setups that don't break the bank while still being functional.

Thanks for putting in the effort to write that up!

The tail bag fits quite well there and I guess a that would give a nice foundation for carrying awkward stuff with a cargo net. Park that in the CBD and that bag will be gone in 60 seconds. Will have to figure out how to affix it to the bike more permanently (or at least make it harder for people to steal.

Yea it worked a treat ... especially with the little rear seat of the FZR and limited fixing points ..... holds more than what u think and it just clips off to take with you.
U just have to join the straps underneath ... I used a D shackle

I'm not sure how links are perceived here, but for my CB125E (which has now moved to my Suzuki Across, I used a Fast pack for storage mostly. The link is for the universal one (which I have) but you can also get ones specific to your bike if it's popular. It has 10 litres of storage but packs down to nothing and you can leave it on your seat (photos of mine below). Great idea.

The other storage I have is a Mustang Jaunt bag. This thing is awesome. If the link no longer works, just look for Mustang Jaunt. When fully unzipped it can hold a helmet in the main compartment. I can fit a full week's worth of clothes and such in there, for example. It has 3 other smaller compartments. One holds its own rain proof cover, the other 2 can hold a vast amount of things. Not sure how I'm going to strap it to Mia yet, but it does come with a few different straps to help you hold it down.

    Fast pack on Mia flat:

...why, yes, my handle bars do have a panda even now. :)
