Not sure about the 08-12 EX250, but the GPX250 and ZZR250 ones are the same

    I bought the Krieger instead.
Not perfect fit on the base mounting but its working.
the tensioner bolt a bit too long imho, I will grind an inch off the bolt next time when Im near to a grinder.

Anyway I feel I still need to do some adjustment on the tensioner. Just need some opinion on the turning on the crank by hand through the side crank case peak hole where you can see the TDC 1,4 marking.
Is it good that when I can turn the crank effortless by hand or there's some resistance is required?
When Im adjusting the tensioner at idle speed, i can notice the engine idle speed goes down when i tighten the bolt and idle speed goes up when i loosen it. Please advice thanks!

i would probably take the rocker cover off and look at the actual slack of the chain when first setting it.

is taking the rocker cover off required engine oil draining or is there any gasket that need to be replaced after removing the cover?

No oil drainage needed. It might leak a little bit whilst it's off. For the gasket it depends. I have taken one off no worries and it was reusable. Another one however tore.

all depends on the condition of the rocker cover gasket really, if its in good condition than it should be fin to pull off and re-install, just give it a light wipe with a clean rag before re-installing. if it old and shot then replace.
