Hey guys im new too here, i own a cbr250rr and recently bought this zxr250 a 1993 model i believe, has a few issues but nothing that cant be fixed, one of which is the neutral light on dash doesnt light up, needs new fork oil seals if anyone has a link, also need new tank/nose cone air hoses if anyone knows where to get or know how to fix them, im planning to rebuild it and make her pretty again, thanks
http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/andys-bike-bits-kawasaki-zxr250.3788/ Those hoses are a rarity and near impossible to get ...... but they 'cool' the RR under the tank which is prone to getting very hot and cooking plugs and wiring.
Welcome to the forum Honda CBR250RR and a ZXR250C....think you're doing OK. You mention making the zxr250c pretty again, I thought it looked awesome already Plenty of great people who can help on the forum, so much knowledge. look forward to following your journey with both bikes....as always "enjoy the ride"
My cbr is in great condition, first bike on which i bought off my uncle who rebuilds them and got me addicted, now i clean all of his carbies and sync them and rebuild forks ,new seals and oil on rrs, and then i seen this lovely zxr250 which needs abit of work and defiently new fairings but for 900 i couldnt pass it up, and for only being 18 i think im doing alright just hate to see these 19k rpm bikes dissappear as honestly they are some of the best sounding bikes out in my opinion and defiently hard for me not to love them, and yes the zxr is a very pretty bike just not mine atm needs lots of tlc but i have alot of time and the effort to do so
Update on bike how she looks now, carbys all dismantled and cleaned, cleaning everything on engine so if theres a leak ill know about it takes lots of time and effort but cant beat the look of a clean engine no point half assing it and slapping new fairings on it
Got a leaky seal anyone, is there a post of of someone rebuilding zxr forks or something close to it need to know what tools ill need and what im getting myself into before jumping straight into it and needing certain tools thanks in advanced
Hey Jack, might pay to drop that exhaust off and give the headers a quick sand then hit it with some exhaust paint
Frankster i am located bendigo area Thanks moo appreciate it Kiffsta thanks was talking to my uncle about that today as he does that to like all of his 22s but appreciate the input Also have a track bike in her way not fully mine but a project me and my uncle have been working on Anyone know where to get a neutral switch for my zxr250 cant start unless clutch is disengaged even when its in neutral and neutral light doesnt show on dash
Exhaust has been dropped all painted up, slowly but surely getting there, im pretty certain ill be buying this kit for my zxr to bring it back to original as possible but have a few little things to work out
