Indicators & spare mirrors have been sent up, along with some new levers that were meant for the 250R. Will see if we can get them to fit on the FZR

Bit of action in the Fizzer Factory today ....
Oil and filter change ..... there was about 500mls of oil in it .... well more like black water.
Now has a nice fill of Delo 400 ..... purred like a kitten ....well almost!
Right hand chain tensioner crumbled when undone but thankfully the spares bin sorted that
The swingarm surface looks in great shape so with a decent clean and polish it will come up A1 I think
Same with the rear wheel ..... paintwork looks good under the grime.

I tensioned the chain and its still running in grooves into the chain guide ....front sprocket must be a 10 tooth .... :headbang:

Isn't it amazing that all that grease and grim form such a barrier with the paint. I sometimes wonder why I keep cleaning it...... looks better clean:D

So while we wait for the RIGHT chains & sprockets to arrive (either because the website screwed up, or am I dolt and ordered the wrong ones) I've gone on an eBay spree. Here's the spoils...

    Choke assembly & cable
    Fork oil & dust seals
    New handlebar grips
New bar-ends to suit the colour scheme (they're metallic blue)

I have also splurged and ordered something else that will fit the colour scheme and up the ante a bit... What are the only parts of the bike that don't match the yellow & blue scheme that I'm going with? Mechanical bits aside.

Yep the yellow peril went well considering all that's been done is an oil change and chain tightened

My short-term memory is terrible but my medium and long term memory work well.

Nice work at the Fizzer Factory though! :)

It was mainly used as a term to describe the Japanese attempt at taking over the Western world during 2nd world war

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Peril

Hence your bike colour plus its origins = yellow peril :D

I didn't spot that. I was too shocked by the SHORTS and lack of jacket and gloves!

ATGMOTTUITH (all the gear most of the time, unless it's too hot) is not ATGATT! :p

On that note, I need a summer weight jacket...
