She absolutely loves it. She's got 4 years before she can do her Basic Handling Skills test and she can't wait
Blasted, cleaned and partially re-built the TT350 carby today.. only issue is I need to drill out one screw that was broken off and the Keyster kit didnt include the secondary main jet... I wonder what the chances are of Yamaha Aust having the jet??
And then I looked at pressing bearings into the rear sprocket carrier and boult up the sprocket... bearings etc are all good but the you beaut sprocket nuts in 7075 aluminium are M10 x 1.25 when they should be M8 x 1.25 I have messaged the seller on Ebay as he advertises them as being for FZR250 1989 + I will see what they come back with.... It wasnt the most productive day all up...
Went for a ride on the bandit today - first time I've been out on a bike on a weekend since I did the track day on the R6 in feb. Very rusty but it all came back and I had fun. Bit on the cold side even during peak sun. Have to get out on the bike more often, instead of fixing them
They might have it but it'll be expensive, a mate bought a main jet off them for one of his older bike's, was $58 The carby is made by Teikei, none of the jet's are interchangeable with Mikuni or Keihin
Ordered from Trooper Lu's Garage (Yamaha Dealer at Liverpool) and got a few other minor items as well. The jet was $36 but about the same price as Megazip, Impex etc and way cheaper freight.. so hopefully it will be in stock but there is no rush right now, still waiting for the Cylinder head to be finished.
So, I had a reply from the seller with the rear sprocket nuts saying they ONLY had M10 nuts. Now I know my rims are of an FZR250 3LN1 because I stripped the bike down. Does anyone with an FZR250 have M10 sprocket bolts?? Looks like I need to find a set on M8 x 1.25 nuts for mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Were they locking nut's or just flanged ? I've bought a few Ti bolt's from here to use on my pitbike Silver M8 Ti flange nut's x6 $15.07 inc post https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6pcs-MT...391459?hash=item2acbe4bb63:g:BDgAAOSwxSVc2R~t Gold M8 Ti flange nut's x6 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6pcs-MT...108240?hash=item2acb84db90:g:M6MAAOSwTkFc0nAR Rainbow M8 Ti flange nut's x6 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6-pc-MT...m=254209281201&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
Yep... I did see those while looking. I am only after the flanged ones at present... although I could always just get a nice set of nylock nuts and not worry about the bling factor... lol I can leave that to @GreyImport and the Hammertone Flyer.
putting the top end back together on my zxr today and hopefully getting it back running in the coming weeks, thats what im up too today along with fixing some other bikes
I finally got around to fixing my Speedo! No more calculating speed from the tacho for this guy!! Been working on a lot of bikes, but that's about all on mine. Though I might try to get the Aprilia RS125 on the road in the next couple of weeks.
I am not having much luck with EBay stuff lately. My brake MC Assyrian and clutch levers arrived and the clutch is mostly ok ( cheap Chinese) but the brake side only has an M6 hole for the bracket to hold the reservoir and no mirror mount and the pivot bolt is just that, a standard bolt that had the nut on by 3 threads, ie loose. Plus they are already sloppy at the pivot bolt. Let’s see what they come back with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
You can get mounts that are a folded plate bolted on to the bracket, or ones that are knuckles to bolt to the bars, or pivot pins with mirror mount, or bar-end mirrors...
Yep, I know there are those options but I bought these as they said that they have M10 connections for mirrors. And now they can’t seem to understand that no hole for the mirror is an issue....... hmm now if only I could type in Mandarin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Haha I had this exact issue, it’s probably the same seller on eBay. I sent them a friendly message saying that they should remove or atleast change the Ad so it is correct, obviously they haven’t. I ended up buying some from “Pro Bolt Australia” m8 x 1.25 titanium flange nuts.
