Fixed up a safety issue in the rvf , the grip was catching up my bar end and stopping the throttle from snapping back , new grips sorted that

Finally got around to blocking off the internal Oil feed on the SRX350 conversion.
The feed tube has had a small piece of steel rod Silver Soldered into the tube and then filled with Silver Solder from both ends to make a permanent plug.
I also put JB Weld in the feed port leading up to the barrel so that I get a little more gasket surface as well as being sure no oil goes there.
Might finish the clutch tomorrow and finish painting the bottom end.
Then it can be placed in the frame.
Engine mounts are painted and fitted on the lower front.

I got one the kx250 started, but I roll started it, bounced on the rear for traction (clutch was dragging, so snapped it into first once rolling). The problem was I also rolled the throttle in the process.... Oops!

Not today but yesterday I replaced some parts on the left side of Sylvie that had been jury-rigged after a drop in the wet. Also a long overdue battery replacement! 1a45a0a1b12ba8a878dd366b5b64d152.jpg b3be20475cf00f3790d13a46a01925ab.jpg 58b8f7bec8c8ee9abb7ebc0fb4c79ef3.jpg bf34d7c88cac501f0517a5d661d8c804.jpg bb906f214a680229ec0b26e247691435.jpg b2bbf2127d2dc4eb890007e6c138fbdc.jpg 180cc2afabbf9d55feccbe9dbfd134d4.jpg d7fae387e8b446c86032a4fcd014a1aa.jpg 0bfabf2a6f37b1d1299b3d4524799f72.jpg

Mate Sean's CBR1000 sprung a leak last weekend on a ride to Walcha. He lost a lot of coolant but was able to get home (dead engine rolling down hills) without damage. Pulled the right fairing off to find the original plastic water fitting had split. Bought some brass bar and made him a new one that will never be a problem again.

I had made a fuel fitting for him earlier that needed a longer bent pipe to clear the airbox better.

Yeah they get used on some of the race pitbike's, a lot of the early one's leaked on the slave cylinder
Not sure about the latest one's though.
I know some of the guy's used the Magura clutch master or a Haye's l/h brake master with the china CNC slave cylinder too

There is also the Easy Clutch (leverage type) for half that price

    s-l1600.jpg

You can also make an extended clutch pivot arm and bolt that on to halve the effort of pulling in a hard clutch lever
like what a lot of the VMX racer's use
