    one of the megelli,s has a hand built motor with a few tweeks from the parts bin. not bad when flat out.got a maxim too.

    Decided to chase up progress of things happening for the bike, frame should hopefully be powder coated next week, and still waiting for a call back in regards to my sprockets and chain. SO hopefully mid-late Feb rebuild complete.

    Can u give me the details of the sprockets and chain ..... specifically the front sprocket

    a photo of your output shaft and your old front sprocket would be handy also

    If possible could u add this info to this thread

    Hey Grey just going back to factory sizing so 17 front 57 rear and a 428 chain, when I brought it had 13 front and 44 rear with a 520 chain, front sprocket had to get genuine ( aparently no one does bigger then a 16 these days for aftermarket) but both rear and chain after after market parts. Only difference I think for a Zeal to an Fizzer is that the FZR had a 16 front i believe.

    Contemplated doing my sump gasket today but so hard to find effort when it's pissing down rain -.- does anyone know if it's a relatively easy task? I know the crank case gasket was a pain to scrape off.

    @Tim_ Ok that's weird. I thought the heating system was for owners of R6's who live in Siberia and the purpose was to stop your carb seals and o-rings from freezing and allowing fuel to gush all over the place like an SR-71 sitting on the runway. But in Australia? :confused:

    @HiveFleetAbyss and watch out for eBay sellers of gaskets. I bought a pattern one that the seller assured was exactly the same as original. But of course it is 3 times thicker. Into the rubbish bin you go.

    Replaced the front brake pads on Nix and went on a Friday night ride with the local Facebook motorcyclists' group. Hoping it wasn't too dark for the GoPro to get anything watchable...

    Took my zeal for the first descent ride in about 6 weeks over clear mountain whilst it has stopped raining. Felt good but towards the end it felt like the carb slides where sticking again, I might need to check the ignition coils as well. I think it rode better with the stock exhaust over the fzr pipe I have on it at the moment, might have to swap back, it sounds so good though
