Hooray! Rego'd the Fizzer Today, went for a test run to Moonbi and back (about 40k) and went ok, so it's off to Sydney tomorrow morning to catch up with Linkin for a ride before catching up with Grey and then my family in the Philippines for a holiday..... :dance2:

Checked the wear indicators on the tyres - Yep, time for a new set. Tomorrow morning in fact.

Also trying to find a good insurer, got greenslip/ctp with NRMA but they want $3,000 a year for comp... too expensive

That is a nicely prepared bike McLaren. How do you think it will go on the dyno?

Same as before - pirelli sport demons... but it will have to wait until next payday, I decided some insurance was more important, gotta pay first 2 months upfront. Since I just got my P's and don't have car P's it's really expensive (you don't want to know!!!) but I want to be covered in case someone smashes into me...

Yeah I need to look into insurance myself. Need to settle on which bikes I'm keeping first!

*** Fizzer Update ***. Rode Sammy from Tamworth to Sydney (sign says 409km). Bike ran well, body did not... :lolsign:. Nah, it wasn't too bad, but, what made it a real chore is Sydney at the end - roadworks congesting into the North Shore.. and then, I took the tunnel didn't I... real snails pace due to some more lane closures &%&^%*&^%&*. By the time I got to Zetland, I was really hot and knackered..

The interesting thing: Used 95 fuel from Tamworth, then decided to try 91.. Bingo! The bike ran heaps better on 91, especially when I re-fuelled at BP Cessnock, after that she really screamed.... 2 little flat spots at high revs.. I think 12k and 14k, but hardly noticeable... It seemed to have a much better note using 91 as well.. Will investigate further, but I'm sticking to 91... it was a big difference on this bike..

Now if you practice your lane filtering, you'll have no issues with traffic congestion :D

I usually call them 'cat stranglers' because that is what some of them in the main street sound like.
What I can hear now drifting up from Maguires Hotel definitely sound like a cow yodelling.
I know why you and Grey have buggered off.
