    It's the same size as the 650. My friend had the naked version with no fairings. It's very big for a 250, bigger than it has to be. Personally not a fan of it.

    Yea its fine .... the 250 is the same as the 650 in size so its good if your a bigger guy

    Its fine for an all round bike ..... I rode it to Drake and back over a weekend and its comfortable to ride and @Grasshopper can comment on how it went thru the flip flops as he was behind me at times.

    It does vibrate alot ... like a high pitch vibration that gets annoying but its no million dollar machine.
    If it had a decent exhaust and headers I think it would be much better.
    Look at my thread and you will see wat I mean

    A good cheap learners bike ..... and in my opinion it looks good.... very economical also

    Shame your not closer for a test ride

    must have been a power slide at the lunatic hotel????????????????????????. what about a honda hornet which is basically a rr without fairings.see if the 600 is lams approved and wipe the bugs from your teeth when you are smiling on a ride. for fuel economy the hyosung wins.

    You know, the Hyosung isn't too bad... for reliability, and economy, and not bad looks, it makes a good commuter... but not exciting...

    How about the CB 400, there's a couple around town & they are a real eye catcher, if they go like they look then I'd consider one.

    Not LAMS approved unfortunately.

    Yeah the CB400 is top of list at the moment - depends how much they're going for when insurance settles me. There's only 1 that's in my price range at the moment

    I called up insurance today to check on progress - they have not done much.
    They either sent a letter or tried to phone the other party with no success. I asked if I could contact him and they said yes.

    I tried to call him and got through, I asked if he had heard from the insurance company and he said no - he doesn't answer private numbers because of his ex.
    He also said that the police said he was not at fault.

    This made me pretty furious. I tried calling the police and the police who arrived at the scene were not in today - so I need to wait until tomorrow.
    I just want to ask them what they told him.

    He failed to give way which made me avoid him, putting on the brakes and the bike slipped because it was damp.
    He even said he didn't see me.

    If the cops did actually say to him that he wasn't at fault - I have no idea what to do - at the moment it's a messy situation.
    The police lady I spoke to on the phone said that they can't do much, she also said that the other party might be lying.

    I also fail to see how the police can make that judgement when they didn't see it.

    My insurance company won't even call the cops or my witness until they get a hold of the other party, and have said to me after the final strike nothing happens. So I'd be at a complete loss.


    It shits me because it seems I would have been better actually running in to his car

    There has to be a police report if they attended

    Dont take **** from anyone , especially the insurance companys .... dont ask ... demand

    And the 'other party' is telling you bullshit

    Mate of mine who is a cop told me that, unless it's really blatant, cops almost never decide who is at fault because they know it might come out in a civil case. In most states they have some form of Major Crash Investigation team and those guys do often decide fault but the first-cop-on-the-scene would very rarely say something like that.

    That was my thought also ..... bike is written off by your insurance company , they pay you the agreed value ..... end of story.

    The problem I've got is that at the moment the police officer who I need to speak to is sick until next week
    The other party is saying he is not at fault, and is uninsured
    The insurance company is not doing much because it's a "bonus" to my third party, fire and theft policy
    If they attempt to contact the other party x amount of times with no success, the claim just goes down the drain
    Even if they get on to him, he will probably say he was not at fault then I'm probably going to need to convince them to call the witness

    little bit of an update. Was finally able to speak to the officer last night at 10PM (he's on night shift this week).
    I didn't ask what he said to the guy because it doesn't really matter anyway but I asked for a report instead. So he's going to organise a report - hopefully I'll get that some time soon.

    I have not heard from the insurance company yet - I'm assuming they can't get a hold of the other party.

    I'm back to catching public transport for a while, it sucks!

    I'm really interested in that 250 Bandit but it all depends when/if insurance settles me.

    That sucks mate.
    I've always wondered what would happen if you had to get out of the way of some moron and in doing so it caused you to crash or run off-road etc.

    It's almost easier for all involved to not even bother avoiding the crash and run into the moron who pulls out in front of you, if only our bodies were made of steel :/

    @MCiN7 its probably a good idea to call legal aid for some free advice. you have nothing to lose by calling them.
