danny, bearing 61905 p/n 276-61905, bearing 61906 p/n 276=61906.show and go in adelaide are wrecking an air cooled megelliand have mechanical parts only . :hello2:
if you cannot get a hub a good machine shop should be able to lathe out and make an interference pressed sleeve.your local bearing dealershould be able to measure inner and outer diameter and supply bearings. get ones with neoprene seal and lift out gently and pack with disc brake bearing grease as it is tougher.
are those megelli part numbers? or something else, im considering just getting the hub machined anyway, its gonna be stronger then a cast version....
All u need is the first number....they are SKF bearing numbers.....any decent bearing place will have them.......and the ones I got for the Fizzer were pretty cheap too. If theres any seals get them there as well. They arnt specific Megelli parts as such....they would be common to other bikes as well. http://www.bearing-king.co.uk/bearing/61905-2rs1-6905-2rs/3746 http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=bearing+61905 Make sure when fitted they are seated perfectly........your old ones may have been slightly off 'square" or were open and had no lubrication for them to destroy themselves.
Sinh from motorcycle moods has me covered,he's got all the damaged parts on warranty and there already in the mail :hello2:from there im also getted some new rear sets, ball bearing, smoother action, that coupled with horse power pack from hear and some new suspension.... Look out :icon_rr:
Yep the horsepower pack will really make your bike fly. I also have the upside down racing forks for sale too.
danny, when you get the bearings pack them with castrol high temperature disc brake wheel bearing grease. resists water and if you put some on the bottom of a hot iron does not run off..multi purpose grease can be used on drum braked bearings but is not as tuff and eventually you will replace the bearings again.pack well by putting grase on palm of hand and drag bearing through it. bearing is packed when grease come out other side. you will have to move whole bearing around to pack full circle.
Thanks for the advise risky, ill be sure to do that when it all rocks up, ive ordered the powerpack from vershaw, so it should all come together nicely when its done 8)
just bought a statutary write off megelli in woolongong for 100 bucks. forks and dash done but rest is good so will have many parts with 2 stat write offs. keep me in spares for years.
Any body knows where can I found the piece that cover the sit in the back (normal its made of fiber, cant remember the name)
