Offline stator tests can be done without the reg/rec (short & continuity)

quick update: stator test good. good stator. phew.

reg/rect arrived Wednesday arvo, thanks to kiffsta, installed so easily and quick test indicated battery charging. went for a nice 50k or so ride. no probs

worked yesterday and unfortunately the weather is preventing me from riding today but looks like everything is going well.

the shop were nice and only charging me for $20 (courier) of the $175

thanks again to everyone for their advice

    yep. learning is fun :|
