yeah we got some nice short twisties all over the place, tons of patchwork and pot-holes to dodge mind you
^^ a video taken from our saturday ride, trying to chase my mate on the Gixxer 1000, was a good day out! my zxr was running beautifully all day long over 400km of outback twisties
was little wind lots of sunlight and the tarmac was melting from the bare sun, i actually had my back tyre slip out a little into a corner from some melted road surface got that on camera too! XD
always looks amazing after some rain, still a few stray cattle out on the roads looking for grass..... man i would hate to spud into a big lump of steak at full noise
^^ there's my close call, was an easy corner, but hit something rather slippery, possibly hot tar or motor oil :/
Did notice you backing off a tad, with good reason. Have encountered same in the hinterland, a little scary when you hit it, I backed off big time.
already uploaded this on another thread, putting it up here for book-keeping purposes since having them back on the paints set in nicely and no longer smells like paint, very pleased! next big job: check valve clearances and do a compression test (before and after new shims)
That looks awesome, hard to comprehend the age of your machine. I've done the same on the pipes, painted them hooked on a close line, can't begin to tell you how many coats went on, end result was great. Well done
i did the same thing! hahaha had to keep rotating the clothes line as wind direction changed, then touched up the rest on an old box. i really hope the engines health continues to be strong now with all the tlc, shims will be far overdue judging by the state of the bike when i got it.... most likely never had them checked/adjusted since being imported
Awsome job cal i should do mine rusty browns not a good look seen your vids she seems to be running well mate touch wood fingers crossed. good luck
thanks mate i reckon she's running and riding right where i want it to be at the moment. i'm almost game enough to call my bike "complete for now"
