Welcome Ditto. Good to have you on board. There is a get together at the Northern end of Bunnings carpark on Sunday morning from 9 to 11am. Just a chat and coffee, and probably a ride somewhere after. Feel free to join us.
    Are you coming too Grey?
I cringe every time someone asks 'where are you from?' and when I tell them Tamworth they always say "country music capital" in a stupid voice and I just want to hide under the carpet. I would really like them to live and work here during January while the 'cat stranglers' are in town. It is hard enough to get to sleep with the heat, then to have the music from the pubs and clubs 'droning on' until 2 or 3am every night and having to get up at six to go to work is not fun! The main business centre of the town is blocked off to traffic so that the wanna be music people can try and drown each other out with their amplifiers, therefore nobody local goes and shops or pays bills while the buskers are here. I here you say, "what about the money it brings to the town?" Most of the traders and stall holders are from out of town so the only ones to make any money are the pubs, clubs and motels. Our rates go up each year to pay for the council workers overtime to clean up the mountains of rubbish left behind when they all go home. I am not a fan of the festival, and would be happy for it to move somewhere else. Rant over.
He's probably still got the red cap, and still has the ears that stick out under the cap!
