Yea his parents farm is about 70klms from here ...Niangla .... its where he would go on his "breaks" from MotoGP

One year he was at the supermarket with his little brother(s) at the mall where I was Santa....sadly it was while I was at lunch as the photographer was going to grab him for a photo as that year we were setup right outside the supermarket entrance.

I remember in the early years I lived here I would go watch the dirt trackers at the now defunct Moore Creek speedway and I remember kids racing ..... probably saw him doing his thing.

    :D

Darren, I was being polite about the music festival. I didn't say f##k once.
I get cranky about it because for 10yrs I have been a member of the clubs trying to build a 1/8th mile dragstrip and racing circuit, only to be told that it will be too noisey. The land is 12Km from town on the otherside of an industrial area and has the potential to bring more people to town over the year than the music festival does once a year. This is similar to Morgan Park at Warwick (just ask their town council how many visitors they have and how many millions of $ stay in the town) but ours will have too much noise, and we have to put up with the bloody racket all day and half the night right in the centre of town. As Grey said, it's feralsville.

Your right Darren, if we had a bat and ball or a guitar it would be no trouble.

Why not both, do a 1/4 mile run, then crank out the axe and play a few notes

Sadly motorsport doesnt rate here ..... but at least we have a velodrome thats never been used , a state of the art hockey field because we had an Olympian 20 years ago and a 6 star horse arena with better facilities for the horses than half the people in the world get to live in....... and after a whole new set of netball courts were laid the tarmac surface cracked so they spent another $160, ooo to fix it ..... you just drive over roads with a million potholes to get there.
    blah blah blah

off to aldi gray. newcastle could have had a dragstrip in the late 60,s but state govt at time would not give lease on land. land is still unused and think of how many$$$$$$$ could have been bought in. and enjoyment. now waffles about v8 race???
