Its fun to mess with the carbs and try get more power, but my opinion is now rock solid on stock settings and properly tuned. But by all means try squeez out a pony! I will probably be reverting back to stock.

Did you do high flow air filter? Can I just say with the UNI-filter & can that even 15 12 12 15 wasnt enough imo.
That being said I still didnt put the washers on the needles. The reason I think this is that when I use a little bit of choke it runs slighbtly better (even when warmed up).
if you did filter and can I personally thing 10, 8, 8, 10 isnt enough.

I am gonna do the needles then and see how it feels, if still no good I might push up to 17, 15, 15, 17 see how it feels hopefully by then it will be rich enough and I will get a dyno too lol. DYNO BATTLE!!! hahaha

Well I was reading this article and the "math" is (dont quote me on this though) that the size of the jets is meant to be the diameter of the carb in mm x 5, so the mc22 carb size is 29mm x 5 = 145 jets. However due to air filter, headers, can ect the restriction brought it back to 105.
But I think its plausible that with a hi flow air filter and unrestricted exhaust can it reaching around the 115's makes sense. But like you & most people say dyno tune lol. I am just trying to guess the correct setting and go by feel which is probably a horrid method of sorting it out.

Did you run a uni filter or replace paper one with filter foam?

Everything I talk about hypothetically or mathematically assumes perfect conditions.
I am strictly talking about getting the correct fuel to air from the carb. We want to assume that the boots and seals and components are good and that the carbs are clean.
If that is the case then I would also like to assume we all want to use a high air flow filter and or at least an exhaust can and to readjust the jets, needles, pilot screws ect ect to correct the fuel air after those mods have been done. But on the same token for anyone that wants to leave their bike stock all power to them.

As far as getting it dyno tuned is concerned there is probably a little more thought that goes into it than "we will go up 1 size in jets until the hp does go up any further". There is clearly a science behind it that we should be able to discuss.

I actually called up a place to get my bike tuned and the place was called something like "max performance super tune" with the site saying "we get the most out of your bike by dynoing and computers blah blah blah"
So I called them and this was the EXACT conversation:

Hi I want to get my bike tuned!

    What bike is it?

    A cbr250rr!

    Whats wrong with it?

Well I put a uni filter in and I feel its running lean!

    Its fine mate....

But it has less power than before?

    Its fine...

    But its not fine!!!

Just put your old filter in its fine.

    ummmm okay *hangs up*

Which is pretty much the reason I am trying to do it myself.

No u don't go one size up for more hp
Forget hp the purpose of a tune is to get correct fuel to air mix then u can get a perfect power curve hp isn't everything it a wank factor thrown around get smooth throttle response and u will notice that rather than 1-5hp
