Yes but Indian bubble wrap comes with no associated demands that if India infects the world with a deadly virus, consequently puts half of it out of work and destroys the world economy, it will refuse to trade bubble wrap with us for wine, education, barley etc if we ask them what the#$%^ happened :) Much preferable bubble wrap methinks in the big picture :)

It’s going on a 1975 moto guzzi 850 t with a 1977 lemans motor complete with 960 wisico pistons. Building it into a 1974 750 s replica.. the bike is mainly all the parts that were replaced as I built my guzzi race bike over the years.

To say I was excited when I got home today was an understatement

I have one of those somewhere. I didn’t find the pics to be all that good but it has been about 18 months since I used it. The newer one might be better but overall not too bad for the $$$

Certainly ok for checking on general bore condition which is really all I wanted it for.
I must dig mine out and have a look inside the Postie bike for a laugh.

That’s all I got it for to check the bores among other things before I run it, did a comp check and didn’t have much at all, squirted oil down and it come right up, so I’d suggest the rings are stuffed and it’s been sitting a long while.

will take some pictures with it and post here to see what you guys think of this model, I mean for $25 I can’t complain

So here are a few picks

unfortunately the mirror attachment don’t fit inside the plug hole :( so seeing the bore ain’t an option at this point

    but straight down shots work

although findings aren’t ideal, for research purposes and price the resolution seems pretty good to me

pics are of my suspect cylinder

and also inside the tank I bought, checking the weld line for rust

They are pretty good pics.. there is a lot of Oil in that cylinder.. rings cant be too bad if it is still there after doing your compression test..(at least in that cylinder) I wouldnt have used that much oil for a compression test though.. you dont need much at all.

Strange thing is I checked the camera in the other cylinders and they were dry, but this one as you can see was quite wet

I only used like 3 little pumps of my oil squirt bottle, didn’t think to be to much maybe it was

    still learning as I go

motor will come out regardless, and I’ll post some more in depth pics at a later date

but for the excercise and passing on results on here for anyone interested in one of these and their current resolution will hopefully answer a few questions for some

It’s def not a snap on scope, but happy with it all the same

Too keen for me, I'd try running the motor in the hope that the heat would release the rings if they're stuck on the piston. Maybe a bit of penetrene in each chamber, too.

Had a couple of deliveries today...
Postie bike bits.. and crimping tool so I can sort out a few connections on the SRX.. I just couldnt get the right crimping dies for the other tool I have.
I wont be using the Pod filter initially... I want to see how it runs on the standard filter setup first.
I still have an aftermarket CDI coming as well... all jobs for the weekend... Off to Dubbo & Narromine for the next 2 days... finally getting out of the house :)
