The ZXR is approx 98% finished, but the dreaded zxr carb curse is still being a pain in the ARSE. So i have cleaned etc the carbs (yes i used Litetek carb kit) ages ago. Still playing up so sprayed engine start around the carb holders and yes idle difference was apparent. Got a quote from Kawasaki NZ $300 for the 4 holders. Signed up to Impex and ordered them on the 23rd of July and they arrived today. Cost $142 delivered to my door. NZ$ What a saving. So guess what i am doing this weekend. IMG_1948.JPG

Never had a “small block” guzzi, or even ridden one but if this little guy is half as good as the media/reviews in 1980 stated it’s gonna be a “keeper”. It looks like, with the exception of the throttle, it’s all there so it’ll be a crank removal, clean out crank “sludge trap, check/possibly replace big end plain bearings, check everything, rebuild carbs /satin black 2 Pac on frame, paint, plate or polish every thing in sight etc etc . Going for a near concourse finish on this little museum piece.

Good plan. Looking forward to seeing the end result (and maybe some updates along the way).

Ahhhh Toyota….. if you have to have 4 wheels under you these are the 4 to have….. my 93 Toyota hiace has well over 300,000 kms and is counting the months till it qualifies for historic rego.. paid $1300 for it 6 years ago and it’s only needed a new water pump and some oil( and about 1/2 a ton of rust cut out but it did come from the beach: )… fantastic

    Hi to all.
Who say's new throttle cable's to suit the SRX 250 aren't available :lolsign: , scored a new set.
    It's amazing what's out there.

I also found / scored a O.E factory exhaust system , but to make the part fit into the box that the seller had , he grabbed the grinder with a cut off wheel and then proceeded to f--k it :headbang:, i'm beyond p----d off to show a picture .
Oh , the seller say's , just weld it back together , my reply , i haven't got a welder.
I purchased the system in the picture complete , not cut in half :idk:.
I't show's how some businesses simply don't care , there was no communication / hint he was going to cut it up either.

Ok , it's time to take another tablet to calm myself down !.
