Just wondering if anyone knows how and what can be used to seal secondary holes in carb pistons? The image shows the normal carb piston for a ZXR250. The standard hole has a secondary hole next to it. I want to seal the secondary hole, but am not sure what's the best way to do it and/or what material to use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have some of that material, but is it fuel resistant? I'm worried that fuel might erode it and then something gets sucked in to the engine.
Thank you Gentlemen. Bunnings only have Grey colour SIKAFLEX. Risky, are you saying Black is stronger than White tongue-in-cheek or for real?
Something like this perhaps? http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/on...Tank-Repair-Kit.aspx?pid=1955#Recommendations
black is more resistent to water and fluids. can be submerged for long periods of time where white cannot be.black is definitely available at marine suppliers but is also what holds car windscreens in and crummydoor firewalls in place.
ready for the minstrel show. NAH, got to take that back==politically incorrect.lol.looking forward to the meet and greet.
Too much PC BS. Meet & Greet should be a hoot. Risky, are you drag racing this weekend? Off to the F1 GP tomorrow. Those stadium trucks look like fun!
mate, riding the cbx to greta to see a bike show behind the local pub.was going to barry sheene but figure something local needs support.going with the local vjmc boys. nationals in tamworth next year so murdo will bw flat out.
Enjoy & take a few pics if you can. I'll mark the 2017 Nationals in my Calendar. I haven't been to Tamworth for ages.
@risky & @Murdo Risky, with regards to the Silkaflex.... Did you mean the one on the right (in the colour Black) or the one on the left? There's a few of these, so I want to make sure I get the right one first time and I don't botch the repair.
Yes, that's right; Bunnings have it in the smaller tube. The one on the left only comes in "big job" size.
