    Hey Brad

Great looking bike, sure you are going to cover some serious miles with that machine.
When I was looking, the F4 was on my radar screen, however I couldn't find one that had reasonable K's on it. Ended up buying the CBR1100 and haven't looked back.
    Enjoy the ride.                                          Phil

'Tis a great bike Phil. I'm thoroughly enjoying the ability to leave tailgaters and moron drivers as specs in my rear-view mirrors.

The next batch of gear I'm accumulating is light and compact sleeping-bag, mattress and tent. None of it is cheap if you want the good stuff, but you get what you pay for - just need some time off work now...

    Hey Brad

Know what you mean by leaving tailgaters way behind. The power is invigorating but can also be a trap when you glance down at your instruments and realise how quick you are travelling.
The one redeeming factor is by releasing the throttle your back to normal speed immediately.

By the sound of your impending purchases, a serious journey is in the offing. Enjoy the journey and the ride, hard not to on a Honda.

The light was a bit strong for my phone, so the things that look like scrapes and dings are actually reflections.  The only scrapes on the fairing are a couple of minor low speed drops.

    Nice tractor :p

First bike was a '87 Yamaha Ag100, pulled her out of a shed and with the old mans help fixed her up and got around for about two years. Insanely fun little bike, the rear used to "slide" out when going around roundabouts in the wet, gave the blokes at the pub a good laugh when ever I did. Gave it to my uncle for his farm in the end.

Then I got the Suzuki X7's, another fun little two stroke, never did much on her though, wasn't sure if I was going to have a big brake down :(

Current ride, the DR650 I bought brand new nearly two years ago. Wanted something that was big but not heavy, that could go anywhere, was mechanically simple and reliable and could survive a decent wack. Turns out it it can take said wack  I don't find it as fun to ride as the smaller bikes though, I think It might be because I need to tune the suspension and get higher bars...

Have my uncles SR500 in bits that I'm rebuilding, it's either going to end up as a scrambler or a mini "W800". The X7's... well check the project section. The only Hondas I will go near are the posties, I don't like to many computers on my bikes.

I want to end up with a 3(ish) bike garage eventually -  the X7 as a weekend warrior, a relaxed old school roadster (either the W800 or SR500), and a do anything and go anywhere bike (either the DR650 or SR500).

I had the pleasure of attending the Team Moto ride day yesterday out at Lake Wivenhoe.  What a fantastic day.  You prebook 2 out of the 40 odd brand new bikes they took on the day and get a 20 minute ride (depending on your average speed) on your two bikes of choice.  They also feed and water you for the day all free of charge with no pressure to buy anything.  In fact not one person approached us to buy anything at all - just a fun day out.  Anyway I had the privelege of riding the 2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R and 2012 Triumph Street Triple.  The kawasaki is the first sports type bike i have ever ridden - OMG.  So much fun - could easily lose your licence on that little weapon.  The Triumph was fun - i call it the hooligans bike of choice - you can have a great time on it.  End of the day though the Ninja was my favourite.
So keep an eye out on the Team Moto website for the next ride day which unfortunately probably won't be until next year.  Although they were talking about doing a LAMS bikes only day for restricted licence holders.

    8) Hey guys, I am new to this site, and i am very excited to get amongst it!  My riding experience is pretty minimal, i grew up on a farm and rode Dirt Bikes all the time, so in know how to ride, but ive just got my Learners & im very keen on the new Honda CBR250R, i could go for a bigger capacity with LAMS, but i reckon i'm best off starting on the neat little Honda Twofiddy to hone my road riding skills.  I will be going down to my local Honda dealer in the very near future to part with hard earned for baby 'blade!

Does anybody else have this bike, and if so, how do you rate it for a relatively new rider?  All feedback will be well appreciated!  I am very excited to start my journey on 2 wheels, I have always loved motorcycles, the classics & the new, I have hundreds of copies of AMCN, 2 Wheels, and Australian Road Rider, so ive done heaps of research & heard nothing but praise for the new HONDA CBR250R.  Thanks guys & gals!

    Hey StevieB
Welcome to the forum mate, good choice on the CBR250R. Several months back, I had the opportunity to test ride the CBR250R from the Honda dealer on the Sunshine coast.
I came away most impressed with the bike.
Funny how the human mind works, single cylinder bike will be a slug on the highway,WRONG! The fuel injection gives a lively performance and the bike performed so well and honestly exceeded all my expectations. My opinion, the people at Honda got it right as they usually do.
Good choice, keep us posted when you take delivery of your new toy.
