Had some big plans for today, re-wire the trailer, slip the good motor into the CB250 but then the mercury started to rocket up and with smoldering embers dropping I ended up staying inside.

Still over 44 here at present

Tomorrow will be better, quiet night tonight

18° overnight? That's crazy looking for a jumper on a 45°C day. At you should have been able to work late in shed last night; everyone was up until midnight for some reason..

Nah... A Southerly was blowing quite hard and the smoke etc carried on the wind made it uncomfortable outside.
It is better today with a top of only 33 so a bit will be done today hopefully.

So.... after Penrith officially being the hottest place in the world yesterday (48.9 C) and me giving up at around 10am when it was over 40 already today was a much better day at only 33.
Managed to manipulate the engine into the CB250 and bolted a few more items onto it... I will finish off bolting back on the loose items I have and photograph it all to put onto Flea-bay next weekend...Then back into the SRX... New Year... New Goals...

Hi Andych nice to see someone local to me dealing with the same weather, Glenmore park is a sweat box of a place in summer.

Yep... the hole (intended) of Penrith can be a nasty place in Summer and Winter. I just wish it would rain... even just a little, I am sick of the crunchy stuff outside that pretends to be remnants of grass being brought inside by the dogs...lol
Today is a better day... pity I am back at work again.

I had rain last night, poured down for a while. Unfortunately I was riding my bike home at the time - not so good.

I left pretty late from Brisbane, after 3pm, so I had a couple of naps on the way home. One such nap was just on the gravel of the roadside - the leathers made it quite bearable, or I was really tired.

Thanks to @kiffsta for his help and hospitality. I did a little work to the Aprilia RS125. Fitted side fairings.

Picked myself up a 99 1100cc V star for $100, it sat in a guys front yard partially disassembled for 2 years after he bought a Harley , so far I spent another $100 on oil , filter fork seals and fork oil , going to do the seals today then it is off for rego

I am not really a cruiser guy, but it will do as a run about

$100? now that is a bargain. I bet you sell it in the next few weeks. Better still, swap it for an RVF400.

Most definitely right place right time , did the forks today , while they were apart I blasted the fork legs and gave them a quick polish , so far I have spent $250 on the bike which includes oil and filter , fork seals and dust seals. I was a bit lucky as a customer of mine bought a crashed vstar 1100 off me and he replaced anything was wasn’t perfect so I grabbed his handlebars and a few other bits to finish it off.
I took it up to a local bike shop for a road worthy certificate and it was all good, ran out of time to get to transport department and register it , will do that tomorrow.

now back to the gt380, I may have wheels and a crank by the end of the week :)

Bought a grom today with 130kms in the clock , I am trying to work out what to do with it , my wife is keen to learn to ride but I am thinking maybe something a little bigger , still it is fun to do laps around the shed

my son is trying to claim it , but 15 year old plus a grom = police trouble

I sold a bike! Another 20 to go... I am trying very hard not to buy any bikes this year: 11 days in and I nearly bought a bike. It's going to be a long year. I was meant to visit a few other bikes for sale yesterday, but had a lazy day and that didn't work out. Monday task. If anyone is looking for project bikes?...

On a side note, I have found love: Kawasaki ZXR 250! Well, I found a bike I am enjoying. There's still issues to be sorted (carbies, of course) but it a nice looking bike, with the sports bike feel and lots of 4-cylinder revs - and I get to keep my licence!

    So... 450 4-stroke or 250/300 2-stroke?
Also, your boy riding the Grom would be like:
