    It just never ends .....

    Coolant leak .... hopefully just a 'loose' clamp but all the crap over the oil filter is a bit odd

    Fairings off to investigate I guess ... which is a PIA as I just put all the trim bits back in place recently

    Hopefully its not the heat exchanger/oil cooler failing ... as thats a known weak point

    Its just being a typical British Bike..they all have to leak something... they just cant help themselves.

    At that price I expect those will be rebranded Chinese hoses. Just sayin, they might be fine but in case you think you are buying 'made in UK'. Samco and Viper are genuine UK made.

    Yea I saw that when I was checking out the cooling system in the manual ... interesting

    Yea I expected that .... I asked about them in the Daytona facebook group which is worldwide and got positive feedback

    Samco would be great but they are , as u would expect, just a tad more pricey

    Good thing its a modern one then... on the older ones... when it stopped leaking it needed re-filling :)

    The modern variants of exhaust control valves are all prone to failure. All the servo motors have plastic gears and they break. I've never seen an old one ie FZR250 one die though, they must be tougher.

    Yea seen the servo buddy mentioned as alot just remove the whole kit ... which I may do if it keeps throwing the CEL

    Ive also read they (the flap) seize even after just a few thousand ks on the Triumphs

    Easy enough to re lube and/or just adjust the cables ... biggest PIA is removing all the main bodywork .... I wanted to clean out the overflow bottle anyway , even though its on the opposite side.

    The triumph exhaust valves are very finicky, I tried to adjust one at work using our diagnostic software, but no instructions were provided. It initially set the valve to a certain point and held it there. Every time after adjustment it would complain that the cables were too tight or too loose, and sometimes the valve just went crazy cycling itself over and over. It would have helped to have the factory manual.

    Flap not jammed ... left cable was very loose .... with ignition on it kept cycling when normally its just once

    Bit of cable adjustment and the flap was flapping to the revs

    Hopefully the CEL will disappear after a few heat cycles , if all is well again (so they say)

    Might sound silly but cycle the ignition 40 times and it should clear the CEL.

    Are cars and bikes equivalent in that regard, with most cars, disconnecting the battery for X seconds or minutes clear errors, not to say they won't reappear if there's an actual underlying problem, but transient ones disappear if it was just a glitch

    Not sure but the triumphs and maybe other bikes will clear a check engine light at 40 cycles without fault, but unsure if that includes starting the engine or not.

    Some cars will also do that if say for example it's a misfire upon start up when it cranks over a few time before starting and then it doesn't register another misfire for a certain number of subsequent starts
