Why is everyone so hung up on "getting there knee down"?

 

Why do people have a facination with doing wheelies? or stoppies? or wearing pants so low their butt hangs out?

Only on the track. Came close a couple of times headed down to the MotoGP, but didn't want to tear up my riding pants. I didn't want to take my leathers as they'd have been way too hot. That and I was going down roads that I didn't know, loaded down with 7 days worth of gear, 1,200 miles from home.

If you are doing it on the street, then you are riding too close to the limit for your safety and the safety of others. Way too many factors that you cannot control. This coming from someone that did do it, until I went to the track. Once you do that, it seems crazy to do it on the streets.

I call it the "brain-butt ratio." The less brains exerted by the individual, the lower the pants and hence more butt to be seen.

I agree with you. Knee down is a risk that I myself wouldn't take if unnecessary (and it never really is).
Man now I feel old for saying that.
