I recovered my riders seat and added a couple of layers of foam with a bit extra up front so hopefully I stop sliding forward so much when I brake.

If I take one of those it will just make sliding forward even worse.

Rode Nix for the first time in almost 2 weeks and since swapping out the bent right clip-on. She was a bit sluggish at first but came good.

Been hunting sprockets today. Apparently the 17 front is looking difficult most only do up to 16. I noticed the FZRs have a 56 back and the FZXs had a 57 back. Are the sprockets the same shape and fit from each other? Would it be worth going to a 56 rear and a 17 front like the Rs?

    Well what a day!!!!
Finished putting the engine back in my mates Honda CRF450 and got it running. Took for a quick squirt up the street to check all was working ok and all good, but when I got back to my driveway it stalled. Tiny battery wound it over twice and died. Had to kickstart the bitch of a thing. Kickstart is so high I had my knee up under my armpit to get on the bloody thing. Finally got it started as my crook knee was about to give out, put in shed and rang him to say was ready. :p
So...borrow plate and take the Suzuki for a run. Got 2Km from home and it died. Could not get it going again so had to roll down hill and push it to my house. Got the multimeter and it looks like the electronic box has died. ****!!!! More money to be spent.
Well... I thought I might use the plate again to take the Yamaha YDS-5 for a run. Got to the end of my street and had to stop sharpish to give way to a car and as I pushed on the rear brake heard a crack. Looked down and the rear brake cable had snapped. Rode back with only front brake and put in shed with others. :headbang:
Wasn't game to try any other bikes in case they broke too.
Thinking about it now it must be that number plate. Every bike it's been on today I have had trouble with. :aggressive:

Was just about to head out for a quick ride, after reading your misadventures for the day I pushed my steed back in the garage and had a Corona instead!
Best decision I've taken today :D .........................tomorrow is another day.

I think it has to be that number plate. The CRF had broken a selector and had to be split to replace it, and was wearing that plate when it happened.

Since Grey is going O/S soon, I went to the Fizzer Factory... picked up the Triumph Sprint, rode it around the block ($#@%&&%$ awesome!!) and put it in my new garage! This is going to be a fantastic bike to ride... :dance2: After that, went back to the Fizzer Factory, picked up my mate's red Hyo and rolled it home into the garage (as we discovered a fuel leak, so did not want to ride...) and also put it in the garage. There is a space left in the garage for my FZR, which, with a bit of luck, will be rego'd this week, after which I'll be a daily rider! Yee Haaa!

Left work in a torrential downpour and by the time I got home I'd beaten the storm back to my place. Got some nice footage while riding through a massive puddle in the rain that is currently being turned into a video to upload to YouTube.
