Pinned C/Shaft Sprocket for FZR 3LN3-5-6-7 & Zeal

    Make a spacer to move the sprocket out.
    I used to get a piece of sheet and cut it out like a giant washer with holes in it for the retaining bolts.

    Yeh that's me lol. Dunno if "lucky" or "whipped" is the best description of my situation!!

    Also which side has the raised face is important to note so your chain isn't offset by 2mm. Mine had raised face on the outside with even wear on the sprocket so I'm assuming any "spacer" would be on the outside. I got in a new washer for like $6 so I'll double up and post some photos after I pick it up.

    Had a long chat to a guy in the spares section of the Yammy dealer in town today. He was pretty helpful actually, and suggested for most FZR250's the zeal has a lot of interchangeable part numbers. To Kiffsta's previous point the part number is 1YL-17460-00 and he said I could own one direct from Yamaha for $66.00. He mentioned that on a lot of occasions you order a yamaha part and it comes in a yamaha packet but manufactured by JT (or similar) but he was moderately confident if I ordered this one it would resemble the OEM.

    May be repeating something we already knew but anyway...we COULD all throw in $5 just to see what we get...?

    Quite certain that will get you a 3LN1 sprocket, but who knows.
    If you were correct then what sprocket would fit the 3LN1 because you lose about 2.5mm of thread?

    Don't know, that's just what he gave.

    I'm putting mine together now, that nut is definitely not M16 (assuming that's what the manual is referring to) it's much larger. Are we sure this particular nut/lock washer from the manual is the right one?

    I placed a bid for that used sprocket but I did not win. Maybe $1.60 wasn't enough.

    I contacted the seller of the above (missus helped with the Japanese to ensure I was explaining things clearly). They couldn't send me any more photos but they said the sprocket is the same as @maelstrom 's latest picture. Being genuine sprockets I'm imagining the one you order from Yamaha for $66.00 will be the same as these and therefore the same as the used sprocket above (which looks the same as my OEM sprocket with the worn teeth).

    Depends if you want to pay $66 for a front sprocket but the genuine ones seem to be the only places to get them like that...?

    So how much they want to make the 200? What is that each, gotta be better than the $66 from Aus dealer.

    Great detective work @Stu
    If the part number shown in the parts book is the thick sprocket then
    is the thick sprocket supposed to be fitted to the 3LN1?

    @Murdo No information on price yet.
    I have to consider how much capital this could munch up, the quality will need to be investigated and making Zeal sprockets would probably make more sense. They need them whereas 3LN3+ owners have the option of using a 520 kit.
    Zeal owners are unlikely to be able to get a correct 520 kit because of the greater offset on the front sprocket and the offset rear sprocket.
