Have now changed the fuel tap seals in both my fizzers, did the blue one today. No leaks, yay. @GreyImport the seals for your bike are there if you want to change them.

Also went and got spare keys cut for the blue bike since I had no spares.

Checked the overflow bottle and still haven't lost any coolant, you have no idea how happy that made me today!

Spoked and trued the wheels for the F2tr while listening to Grasshopper playing some cool tunes on the wireless.

Not today's work but last weekend I swapped out Nix' rear wheel and fitted new Metalgear sintered brake pads. Got the rear wheel from the same bike and seller the replacement front wheel came from so she has a matching set again now!

Haven't done a hell of a lot in recent weeks.
However I have bought a 89 RGV 250 to possibly have a crack in the 250 proddy class down the track. So I began to take off the chinese fairing and unnecessary bits. Had sourced some VJ22 race fairing, but didn't realise to after I got it that only the seat section really fits. That will teach me for believing everything I read on the internet! Luckily it was cheap, so guess now I will bite the bullet and get proper raceglass for the front (any indicators of good sources are welcome!)
Only really going to change the glass and tyres at this stage and spend some time sorting the suspension. Can't change too much for the proddy class anyway.
Got some Dunlop alpha's to chuck on later this week and will be good to go (apart from the glass)

Great to see an RGV 250 in the mix, we haven't had too many on the forum. Good luck with it.

has just been riding and will probably bed back on 2 wheels again. You'll never guess which bike either..... the ZXR250 finally a whin with this F#$ing bike. Went to dougs fire sale and grabbed a straight front wheel, and my old dented stock exhaust amongst other things :p Anyhow i changed out the exhaust so i can work on it at night without infuriating the neighbours too much. Low and behold it runs a **** ton better with a stock pipe.

Put the front wheel on and it is straight so I just terrorized the back streets. Felt good guys!

Its still a pig when cold and does have a vacuum leak but hey its rideable. Next problem is the zx7.

Cleaned the carbs on the NSR and fired it up (been sitting for a few months with no action).

Sorted out the rear brake. I have the Tyga steps but the MC21 master cylinder is different to the MC18 and MC28. So where the inlet bit for the brake fluid is, is on the opposite side and the supplied bracket (EDIT, for the brake switch, I plan to register it eventually) doesn't fit. So since I'm parting out mc MC18 anyway, I put the MC18 master cylinder on. I also had a braided rear brake line that was part of a kit for my CR125 and it didn't fit. Near perfect for the MC21 (also has braided lines up front). Matt from Tyga suggested using a pressure switch but this was a free fix and looks neat.

Then I fitted the ignition cover which is from the MC18 (cut to fit). I also have a trail tech vapor dash to fit (another job!) so I put a little cover over the speedo drive hole, and it also acts to keep the sidestand switch wire out of the way.

The next jobs are trying to fit the vapor dash. Also included a picture of my super cool on/off switch. Slowly it's coming along!

Did an oil change on the blue fizzer. Only 1000k's since the rebuild (boy, that went quick!), and refilled with more Delo 400.

The Delo 400 has done a good job, considering it looks like honey when new. Old stuff still had its oily consistency and wasn't too runny for being warm oil. When your warm oil starts to behave like water, you're way overdue for an oil change!
