    Not quite on the bike but I paid for all the freight on my bits coming out of Japan through Jauce.
    It was a little more than I thought it might be but I have no idea on the weight of the swing arm (it is steel) including dog bone and links so overall I am happy... now I just want it all to get here ASAP....lol

    So.. today I took my frame down to be stripped... only to be told by Red Strip that they don't like to do tubular frames as the Phosphoric Acid they use to neutralise rust is too hard to wash out of the tubes without large access holes...
    Second option... I took it to Outer West Sandblasting at Penrith and Emad was brilliant... same price as dipping but no dramas with threads etc... he will do it for me Monday so I can bring it straight home and prime it...
    No more work on the bike now till at least Sunday... I spend the next 4 days In Orange at the Field Day... just what I want to do... lol

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: I scratched a brake piston last night breaking the frozen calipers down. i launched another one into the drywall trying to get it outta the caliper with an unregulated air line.

    Not my night. :mad:

    Use a grease gun get out frozen pistons, less of the launchings. But whole lot more cleaning...

    True story. I don't own a grease gun though.

    So in the continuing adventures- Megazip doesn't show the part number for our piston anymore. On a whim I asked my parts guy to check out a 2005 Ninja 250. Ends up it's a different caliper, but when you look up the small piston outta an N250 caliper, it's part number cross refers to the ZXR250 on Megazip.

    Got one on order- nearly 50 bucks USD though!!

    Painted calipers tonight. Tomorrow I'll clean my three remaining pistons, and wait for the 4th one to come in. Productive night.

    IMG_5568.JPG I built a manometer last night! After giving the dealer 50 bucks the other day, I didn't feel like giving motion pro 100 more bucks. Go figure. Tomorrow I'll probably get the carbs synched up. :)

    I ended up buying more items on Jauce...lol I couldn't resist... it was a set of tank mounts including dampener and the retainer clip... I didn't even know there was meant to be a retainer clip :)
    I think I pretty much have all I need now... at least from there...

    That's pretty cool! Did you have a valve system to help stabilise the readings? A ball bearing in the tube? I keep sponging off my mate at the bike shop, he has a digital sync tool, but maybe we'll get the apprentice to make one to learn with. Did you have anything to stop it sucking the liquid in if you revved the engine and then close the throttle?

    Nah, i just used long tubing... serves to give me freedom of location and stabilizes the pulses. At least it did when I built one for my Ducati- this one has 10 feet of line per cylinder. The Duc had about 8, I just built it into my shelving unit and could park the bike next to it.

    I used narrower gauge tubing this time, so it might react a bit quicker, but should have plenty of distance to prevent suck-through.... and yes after I took the picture, i removed about half the liquid that you see there.

    I made one similar and rather than risk water through the engine I used 90 weight gear oil mixed with auto transmission fluid, the viscocity meant it moved a little slower and the ATF made it red so it was easily visible

    I did have to install some small jets to calm it down also, for memory they were the gas jets from a discarded barbecue, but it worked a treat
