Yes. My grandfather used to say that hungry cattle was sometimes unavoidable, but thirsty cattle was criminal.

Looking on the BOM map and it seems Moree, Coonabarabran, Walgett all got some rain... not sure how much and no matter how much it wouldnt be enough.. Gunnedah copped some as well but Tamworth missed out.. you guys need to do the nudie rain dance.. or is that the women??? maybe both.. but vertically... not horizontally.

I can be wrong be i think i read somewhere that you should leave about 30% of free space in the bearing, something to do with resistance or expansion of the grease under higher temperature. I'm sure the guys with more knowledge than me will correct me if i'm wrong (again) ;)

some space was left. if it oozes out will do no harm as will fill void behind separate outer seal.

Last week I bought some bikes off @amct77 , he did mention he had an rvf400 for sale and today we did the deal , I fitted a new battery and needed to replace the muffler as the beet one on there was shagged , I had an old carbon one off a fzr400 so I made a sleeve to fit it to the rvf headers, I am quite proud of that effort as it didn’t cost me anything.

I managed to get my local bike shop to do a rwc and I am now at the dept of transport waiting to register the bike

To say I am a little bit excited is an understatement , in fact a little bit of pee came out :)

@kiffsta did you sell your CBR400? You did have an NC30 as I recall and you said you preferred the inline 4???

Yeah I sold my cbr400rr after the forum. Ride where it kept breaking down on @Frankster , I also sold my nc30 which I still regret , I loved the cbr400rr engine and overall feel, but after riding the nc35, I am convert for v fours.

I keep wondering why I sold all these amazing bikes , but I guess 5 years ago, I was buying so many and they all just sat there not being used. at one point there was over 25 bikes in my garage, things got a bit crazy.

CBR400RR Went hard (before it started choking). Yet to try the V4, but everyone says they're better.

So last night I picked a couple of KX250s (because I don't have enough bikes already), so I tried to get one going today. Had a broken kickstart shaft, so I swapped that, and unstuck the clutch plates while there. Not pretty inside, but we'll see if it starts, first. But it didn't: no spark, seems to be the pulse coil...

There's also pretty of kdx200s, zxr250s and a bunch other bikes to work on, too. And I spend the week working other people's bikes, now.

Not today but over the weekend I got a bit more done on the engine assembly. I still need to silver solder the oil feed tube so no oil heads that way.
My new (old) 350 head has had a bit of a cleanup but it needs blasting.
It was also missing a valve spring and 2 spring seats so I need to pull the head of the spare motor to rob for parts.
Might get to that during the week then it is off to have the valves ground etc.
    Still lots to do though
