I obviously don't get out enough or I just ignore new bikes. I didn't realise new 250's are so expensive. At least this is a V-twin!

No wonder all those bobber and cafe racer builders are asking silly money. This is over $5,000 onroad.

Saw a couple of 2019 models of this thing for just under $7,000 ride away? At least it's made in Japan.

Not a 250, but close and I'd like one.

Its a shame about that horrible looking guard thing hanging out the back. The regulations have a lot to answer for.

$5k is cheap for a new bike, even if it is made in China. $7-10k is ride away price for the established brands entry level bikes. Except for the Suzuki gsxr125 at $4300, depending on where you live.

There are a lot of new ones around that are close to the Dollars.
    https://www.cfmoto.com.au/model/250nk
CF 250NK at $4290 ride away.
Re the ugly guard; that is to comply with the ADRs as to the height of the taillight/reflector and if the manufacturers keep making the bum end higher (where old blokes cannot get their leg over) then expect more ugly crap to be hanging off the back end.

Totally correct on both counts. Seems to be a bit of a Spada shortage everywhere atm. Still hundreds languishing under trees and houses and dumped in back yards I’m guessing.
