Just ordered a yoshimura R77 exhaust. Excited! Any tips on fitting it when it arrives would be appreciated.

rode one and after getting the car back picked up the re upholstered hornet seat.had a visit from linkin and as he had some space in his ventura bag gave him some goodies for mum.

 

Yep... home safe and rode through that monster storm that hit tamworth again like the other day at @GreyImport 's place. Riding straight with wind pushing you over 45 degrees, between the rain and my glasses fogging up visibility was very poor. Roads were starting to flood when I pulled into a servo in Tamworth. Aldi 2 piece wet weather gear worked well. Completely dry except for hands and feet soaked. Gloves and boots are going to be drying out for days. Rjays neck sock stopped water seeping in under the jacket.

Friday is bike maintenance day, so time for washing, grease the chains, putting air in the tyres and all the other jobs that need doing.

 

Cleaned the shed up & found my spare coils with perfect plug caps and leads still all attached to the caps, getting new plugs this afternoon.

 

went to gosford and bought a 2nd hand speedo for one of the bikes.

So with a new tank coming soon for the NSR thought I better clean the carbs. The throttle would get stuck when left but operate once you opened it. It wouldn't stay open, just stuck initially and then was fine. Anyway, opened the bowls and I'm not sure if it was the seals I got on eBay but there was this awful smelling goop. It must be the seals but not 100%.

Now I'm on the hunt for some decent carb seals since LiteTek doesn't make any for the NSRs. Not a massive selection on eBay or online either. Found a new site for NSR parts though which seem to have reasonable prices.

I was thinking of these lyrics as I rode home tonight. I went to a friend's place for dinner, realised when I got there that storms were predicted, but I didn't park undercover. To add to it, I hung my helmet off the handle bars to catch rain in it..

Yesterday I had 2 bikes to work on, but not 5 mins in and I'm complaining about my back, so I start building an elevated work stand for bikes. At the end of the night, I go to try it out and realise this design isn't going to work, so I'll have to modify and add a hydraulic lifting mechanism. I was meant to drain carbies and try to start a bike to sell it this weekend, but it was never really going to be that easy.
