Hi Kiffsta and all, Rex here. Just getting to look around this site and view some great stuff on here, being an Across owner for a couple of years now, you can see my bike on my blog and I also have the scanned manuals online for download there too. http://warren.morgans.cc/2010/06/28/suzuki-gsx-250f-across-update/ Only one question, whats the x913 printed on the side of the bike for...? Cheers...
Hey Rex, welcome to the forum, Nice Across mate, same color scheme as mine. You have asked the million dollar question, what does the X913 stand for.. I have searched and searched and I still have no bloody idea!!! thanks for sharing your downloads, Im sure the Across owners here will appreciate them !!! Chris
G'day Rex and welcome to the Forum. Many thanks for your contribution, sure there are a number of members who will appreciate the data. x913 is still a mystery, someone will get to the bottom of this one eventually. Nice looking Across. Phil
been searching like mad for the X913 reference , someone commented that X913 was the project number assigned to the bike during the design phase, because Suzuki wanted to create the impression of a big bike they kept it as name. True or False... beats me
Hi, first time forum member (of any kind) so i'll apologise in advance now for the beginners mistakes i am bound to make. Bought my first bike in november last year, a 1997 GPX 250. i'm located on brisbane bayside and new to the riding scene. Was told the GPX was a great bike to learn and commute on. Needs a bit of work due to previous owner going for a slide on it but hope to make it my 'project' bike and try and restore it to it's former glory. well at least make it look a bit prettier. Currently use it as my every day to commute to work and back.
Hey Nat Welcome to the forum and certainly don't be afraid to make mistakes, we all do. If you need any help just let us know, we're here to help. GPX 250 are great bikes, should you need any parts ask Chris as I think he is parting one out at present. Make sure we get some photos, they are always popular. Again welcome, browse around and make yourself at home Cheers Phil
Hi all, just dropped in to say hi and to thank Phil for the escort home the other day, the 250 i ride is aHyosung GV250 Aquila. The bike which needed the escort was my virago 1100 no lights at all , safe rideing to all . Cheers Dashound
Hey Dashound Welcome on board mate, good to have you on the Forum. Glad I could help out, never mind, Jason will get you mobil and we might take that ride you were talking about. Talk soon Phil
Hey Dashound Welcome mate, good to see some more cruiser owners joining up. Looking forward to hearing about your Hyosung. thanks Chris
Hi guys, Was glad to find a live 2fifty forum, especially one with heaps of accross owners, since the old twincam accross forum was dead and many other sites dying... Here's my accross below, it needs a LOT of work done, which I want to learn to do myself but has served me pretty well over the last 2 years..
I've also saved an Across website i found really useful before geocities went down and i've made it live at: http://tinyurl.com/ozcross , i didn't have a chance to ask owner permission to copy but it seemed pretty abandoned and would have been a shame to lose it. Also begun a motorcycle blog to post up pictures and videos from rides using my goprohd, so i'll post that soon
Hey 2 Wheels Welcome to the Forum and many thanks for posting a link, makes for interesting reading. You are in good company as there are several Across owners on the site and most very dedicated and devoted to these great bikes. The figures I quoted for your chain and sprockets was from my mechanic, you might do better. Welcome and as always, enjoy the ride Phil
