@Kirk , I'm sure @kiffsta could pick up a cheap bike for you, like the next Across or zzr250 he gets offered for $100, which he doesn't need... :-D

So, I'm now organised enough to book accommodation... Well, I don't have a bike going, yet, but that's a formality. Thought I should double check if anyone is looking for a room share before I book?

I have two friends from the 'old retired guys' riding group coming along too. Warwick with VTR250 and Peter (has CBR250) will be riding something else as had a bit of surgery and not fully fit for the CBR. I will unfortunatly not be bringing the ZZR250 as a bloke is trying to buy it from me so will be riding the CF Moto.
With the three from Newcastle, that will make 10 riders leaving Tamworth at 9 am on Friday the 18th from the Nemingah post office/servo.
    Any more takers?
    How many 'banana benders' coming?

Wow, does QLD still have those anti-bikie laws? We might attract the local fuzz when we roll into Texas!

Do you mean the DL650? Or a kitted SV?

Bikie laws still exist, but so long as you don't have a Harley you should be fine. Though there were doing a bike campaign where they check licenses and ask questions about bike safety (which is just an excuse to check licenses, I think). So bring your license, in case it is still running.

I was actually joking, but forgot to put a smiley face emoji on my post. I'm pretty sure none of us look like "bikies" and we certainly don't act like an outlaw bikie gang! I'm happy for a cop to check my licence and ask me a few questions...it'll give me a chance to ask him or her a few questions too. I had one effwit ask me where the VIN number was on my motorbike and I answered "same place as all other bikes". Guess what his next question was?
