Good to see the old banana heads again ... and the new faces as well .... a great turn out all round with plenty of numbers on the grid .... plenty of 250s in the mix too :thumb_ups:

The ride home was crap .. bloody freezing .. and the pig went like ... a pig :commando: ..... hesitating under load especially any kind of incline and I take the economy award away from @Phil ... chewed thru half an oil refinery .... just over 100ks to reserve ...... also smacked a bump on the Texas road and got the death wobbles ... nearly ripped my arms off ... certainly got my attention

I should have caught the bus home ....

Glen Innes .... (apologies to @2valve .... I didnt see u in the mayhem when leaving the motel to say farewell :) )

Speaking of deepwater , how good is the Deepwater pale lager, I had one at the pub in Tenterfield.

Thanks to Murdo for organising the itinerary and showing us some of NSW's small town delights (that pie shop in Deepwater had the best Steak & Kidney I've had in ages!). Great weekend with all the guys and bikes. Glad everyone made it home safely. The number of riders who came along just shows what a great group of people this forum is made up of. Me, I just pulled up in the driveway about 20 minutes ago. Too tired to unpack. Cheers

Texas 2018: As Murdo mentioned, the NSW group set off on Friday morning and after a number of stops we found ourselves at the New Tattersalls Hotel Motel in Glen Innes. Some of us had been here before and nothing much has changed. Same accommodating owners and friendly faces everywhere.

Once everyone had met at the bar for a pre-dinner drink, the group split into two. One group wanting the Bangers&Mash/T-Bone&Chips food the pub offered and the other chasing some chew&spew options further down the street. Here's the stay put group...a wild and crazy bunch ready to...well...go to bed!

I got home last night at some late hour, about 10:30, near frozen and spend 15 mins in hot shower then to bed. The coldest part of the trip was when the sun went down, and I mean coldest riding of the 3 days. The ride home wasn't as simple as I imagined, inspired by @Murdo, I thought I'd take a different road home, but unlike murdo, I didn't read up on said roads. Maybe one day, in a far away pub, I'll tell how the saga continued, in "The Adventures of Buzz"...

For all those Queenslanders who got a taste for the track...

Looks like everyone had a good trip. Glad to hear there were no incidents or break downs. Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one.

@ShaneP looks like I'm probably moving to Mackay at the end of the year. Maybe we could catch up for a ride at some point? You might have a better idea of where some nice roads are up that way.
