Tim it should flow quite quickly until you turn it to RES or ON then it should stop, Does it flow freely if you have the fuel lid open and turned to prime? You may have an opposite vacuum in your tank as your tank breather may be blocked.... This could be why your carbs are not getting enough fuel!
Below is a picture of the breather to unblock just run some wipper snipper line through it you'd need 3 ft to be sure. It will come out the bottom on the opposite side to your petcock.

    Edited with picture haha

ATM my tank doesn't have a lid. I'm waiting for one to Arrive in the mail. Also when it's on RES and ON a small amount of furl still come out. About the same amount as a leaking tap. But I will definitely check the breather out as well. Cheers for that mate.

How many mm the holes from the end? Also how much flat before the 90 degree bend up? 45x2mm flat bar should do yes?

Got home from work. And tried something that huntsman suggested and gravity fed the carbs. Well kind of gravity fed. I got a squeeze sauce bottle with the funnel shaped nozzle. I filled it half way with fuel and put the nozzle onto the fuel line and squeezed the bottle. Start the bike and let it run for a bit. And guess what? All 4 headers are hot. So time to pull apart the petcock and and get the pump working properly again.
Cheers huntsman for the idea. :thumb_ups:

Just an update. So things have gotten worse with the furling issue. When I flipped the tank I heard some rattling of tiny steal chunks. I was not impressed hearing this. When I say the petcock bolts I notice someone had attack them with a screw driver and ruined the nicely. So got did the smart thing and used a 10mm socket. When I got it off this is what I saw.
    image.jpg
So then I got an old container some fuel and a cheap tooth bush and started cleaning. I'm not sure but I may have stuffed the actual pump side but I will get to that later. So I cleaned the filters and unscrewed all the parts
This is a bad picture but but you can kind of see inside.
    image.jpg
When I I was cleaning the area where the filters insert too the who thing started to come apart.
    image.jpg
So I cleaned it the best I could and reassembled it. This is what was left in the container.
    image.jpg
So I tried to get as much crap out of the tank as possible. But now I have an issue. I put it all back together and put the tank on the bike. And now the bike will struggle to start run for 30seconds then die. So I may have damaged the air bladder which makes the pump work. Unless I stirred up even more crap in the tank and clogged the filters again. So I'm going to leave it well enough alone. And come back again once the tanks cleaned out and re lined.

The other thing I just realised it may not be sealing any more and letting air in.

Will that carby fit our bikes? That rev limiter would be sweet too

If it's anything like the dirt bike ones I have it retards the timing slightly. On the dirt bikes it's like a 5-10% power increase barely noticeable.

    Update time:

So this bike has gotten me stumped. I tried the new fuel and vacuum lines. And no avail. I pulled apart and cleaned the petcock and still nothing. It's still dropping the 2 middle cylinders and some times it swaps around. I call the wreckers today and the guy want $75 for the petcock. I was a little shocked at that price. But it may be my only option to trouble shoot this fueling problem. Is there anything else that could be causing my fueling issue?

Before you purchase anything new I can bring my bike around and we can try my tank on it if you like?
That price seems pretty fair as most petcocks go with the tank and the charge $250, a new petcock was on eBay not long back for $120

Cheers. Awesome idea. The other uni I just thought of now. Is to attach the petcock a thick walled plastic bottle and see if that sorts it out. Might give me an idea of how it's actually pumping.

I thought it would create negative pressure in the fuel line? I just wanted to test if it's tank. Or the petcock.

I just got the ok from the boss (aka my mrs) to put a hold on her getting the bike. So now I can do a rebuild properly and tear it down to the frame and fix it properly and not band aid fix it to get it running. I told her it will take a long time but she is ok with it.

Might seem like a stupid question but I have always wanted to know how long you can leave an engine without oils before seizes? Not running of course.

Unless protected with some corrosion protection I wouldn't leave. To long all u need is one seal to perish and moisture to get in and the metal cancer will spread
