Did you work out what that bit of metal was Bris? I was struggling to think what it might be? Piston ring or something?

Fox.....it was the seal spring from the centre bearing. as silly as it sounds my knowledge of all things NSR though all of the hurdles that come with owning a 22 year old bike has become very enjoyable. Im now a bearing engineer which I wasnt last month.
Anyway as big ARNIE said ' I'll be back" and I cant wait to join the 2 other good looking NSRs for a spin.

I imagine the crank may have done a few miles. Are you swapping it out or getting/having it rebuilt? I wouldn't mind rebuilding my old crank but I'm not sure of anyone who does it.

Hi guys. Been a while since I posted. Been too busy working and riding. I ended up getting some HRC air jets, emulsion tubes and needles to sort out the carburetion. The bike is now running 155 mains, HRC C needles (the leanest needles in the set) and HRC air jets. It's pulling really well and running heaps harder than before. Recent photo from down at the beach.

No mate I added all the aftermarket gear after it was registered. Mine is pretty loud as well. On the overrun it pops and carries on too which I quite like. I've taken to wearing those plasticine ear plugs. As much for helmet noise than anything to be honest. Here is another shot at my brothers farm a few days back.

Hi Duggs. Running better than ever. Just took some more GoPro up at Mt Glorious if you want to check it out. I'll post a link in the videos section here.
