If you have a good look at the pics you can see the rust in the rear bottom of the tank and the marks lower down on the frame where it has leaked there.... may be repairable but not worth the $$ I think...

What is wrong with your carby? You have had it running so at worst it will need a kit.

Have had issues already with the carby ( especially the float bowl that has the bleed screw fitted ) when i first bought the bike. Just have one of those bad feeling's about it. Thought i'd at'least try to find a spare one just in case as not to slow down the rebuild. May have to contact my local friendly wrecking yard called MotoREcycle dismantlers to keep an eye out for any carby's that may appear to suit .

Hi Kiffsta. Talk about great customer service with a super fast reply :thumb_ups:. Will also need some tools to suit my little SRX 250 , especially the tools to remove the front and rear wheels ( the handle slips over the spanner , no doubt you'll know what i mean ), will have a look and supply the sizes required and get back to you. Could you please PM me if suitable gear arrives in.

Mate, why throw away good money on items that you dont need... sure it is nice to have a complete tool kit for the bike but you only need standard sockets etc to remove front and rear wheels.. not that you would be able to remove them on the roadside even if you had the tools.
As for the carby... there are no SRX250's I have seen that are in as good a condition as yours so most carbys will be worse. You bike ran... that is better than lots of others... and there are plenty of kits around for them..
But hey... If you want that bike.. bid on it.. I can arrange to get it to you once I get my trailer up here, I just dont see any value in it considering the condition of your bike.... most people would throw a set of fork seal in it... some new brakes and a polish and start riding it...

Hi Buddy, yes i do understand where your coming from regarding the tools , iv'e always had the O.E tool kit on standby on all of my bikes just in case , as time goes on there only going to get harder to find as people seem to loose / discard them :idk:. There's not much room in the ducktail to carry much at all. Really don't want another bike in the shed , no spare room for it and have no spare money anyway. Thanks for the offer to deliver it though , much appreciated for that :thumb_ups:.
