Ok so after work got some interesting news about a swing arm. So looks like the ares end of the bike will have to wait until I pick it up.

Got the frame on the engine today. Had some issues with lining up the bolt holes but in the end I got it.

    image.jpg
Yes I even painted the spacer red.
Got the subframe on as well
    image.jpg
I laid out the wiring loom in the frame. Then realised I didn't paint the rectifier bracket. So I painted that red. And while waiting for the paint to dry I almost fell asleep. So I called it a night more pics to come.

Firstly I just want to say this thing right here image.jpg . People may say you look stupid with it on. Or they are silly. But this little guy saved me so much hassles with lighting.
Ok so I got the loom all neat and tidy in the frame. And got the coils and the regulator rectifier hooked up.
image.jpg Yep I even coloured the brackets red and black. Heat proof of course. I then got the instrument cluster on and lights all hooked up. image.jpg

Then I got stuck into the main fuse, fuse box and earth wires. Took a little messing with but I got it in the end. It's times like this I wish I had small hands.
    image.jpg ..

Abs my biggest triumph of the night.........
    image.jpg image.jpg
Forks are now back on the bike and triple clamps are tight. She is looking like a bike again.

Had some crap news so I'm going to have just put the bike together as is. Turns out the owners of the house I'm living in are selling. And I got 3 months to move. So everything will be put back on and once I move I will need to go back and re do some things.

Ok. So this whole owners selling the house thing has thrown a spanner in the works. I tried to get some more work done on the bike. And I got a call to say a buyer was coming to look at the house so I had to tidy up. then 2 days later another phone call again. So until the house is sold or I move. I don't think I can work on the bike because it seems every time I grab the tool box. A buyer wants to look at the house. So frustrating. Worst part is. I got the bike running but it was having some issues so I'm thinking I need to clean the carbs.

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOkkkkkk... time for another update.....

As everyone knows I have been away working my but off... But after spending sometime time with kiffsta at his holy grail of garages where amazing bikes get a second wind... It gave me the kick in the arse I needed.. So I knew of a race bike for sale cheap.. and i went and got it... now it was a bit worse then I saw in the pics but aint they all???so here she is...
    IMG_2046.JPG IMG_2061.JPG IMG_2060.JPG IMG_2051.JPG
    ZXR250 A.. Don't know the exact year...
    IMG_2054.JPG
fuel tank is 110 times better then my current one...
    IMG_2049.JPG
    No restriction in exhaust..
    IMG_2052.JPG
then again no water pump either..
    IMG_2050.JPG
all the race glass is there... even the side scoop?
    IMG_2055.JPG
braided lines will look good on kit
    IMG_2059.JPG IMG_2062.JPG
forks could use some love but will look good on a RR baby blade..
    IMG_2056.JPG
the outside of the exhaust i dunno what they have done here but if it works...
    IMG_2063.JPG
still got the ridgy didge rear spring with minimal rust
    IMG_2057.JPG IMG_2058.JPG
kis swingarm... and ebox from.. but no plates so frame cant be registered..
    IMG_2065.JPG
best way to know its a track bike.... lack of chicken strips..

the plan is to take what i need of this green machine and recoup some money off it in parts.. then finish off the zxr with the money that's made from the parts... I'm thinking of a completely different clip on controls.... im not a fan of everything being in one control cluster.. So i'm thinking of making it more simple.. Honda got it right in this aspect.. stop start switch and a separate throttle.. instead of everything trying to crammed together.. same goes with the choke and indicator switches...But I do not know if i can pass a roady with Honda switches on it lol...
